Only a gat damn fool would’ve thought GM Ryan Poles hitch his future to a QB with multiple deficiencies and build around him while Caleb Williams was gifted to us.

This draft was great but let me add the Bears are in an insanely good position yet again next season. Theyll have 3 picks in the first two rounds including a high 2nd rounder. If they pick around #20 in the 1rst and top 3 in the 2nd round They can use those picks to pick up everything they need with the 3 picks to fix anything that needs to be addressed in the trenches on both sides of the ball. You can go Oline in the first to immediately improve whatever weak spot shows up next season. You could also pick up an edge or DT. You could pick up another LB or Safety. I think we win 9-11 games next season but the big jump will come in year two and we will know if this franchise is heading for greatness over the next decade.

Just to clarify guys. I watched that entire interview with Ryan Poles and McGafee. He was talking about knowing he was taking Caleb once the draft process started not before. He didn't start scouting Caleb until after the season. Caleb was a junior he could of easily came back to USC if he wanted. He only started watching his tape after Caleb declared for the draft.

At what point do we all just move on and stop talking about Fields ? Even if Poles always had Caleb in mind who cares. Justin is no longer a bear. Best of luck to him but I could care less about what’s going on with him.

I loved watching Odunze in college but i truly fell in love with him in his interviews. I wasnt one of those people that wanted MHjr at all costs because i just dont think the production between him and Nabers and Odunze will be big enough that whatever teams got Nabers and Odunze would regret missing out on MHjr.

A good GM would have had a qb competition in chicago. If caleb beats out yr4 justin then justin holds the clip board. If not caleb gets to develop and learn the system. Maybe the gym teacher fluse couldnt coach a qb competition in Chicago?.. Ryan Poles and co. have jobs to worry about so they're AGAIN, blowing everything up, by dealing Fields to Pittsburgh, and drafting Vince Young 2.0

Stop being so butthurt about Fields. Poles didn't say anything different on that podcast than he's said before. He was sold on the talent of the player by the film, but he needed to find out if the person was a fit. Fields is in Pittsburgh, Pat. Move on! Find another guy to Stan for.

Of course, I listened. You posited that the Poles had made the decision on Caleb months ago. That simply isn't true. Listen to Poles' end-of-season press conference. Listen to every statement he made before spending time with Caleb. Poles clearly said talent isn't the only deciding factor. He said the person also has to be a fit. He decided on Caleb once he learned that the kid was a solid dude, similar to Fields. Therefore, there was no need for your "I was wrong" declaration, Pat.
