David Montgomery was a HugE loss. Put that next to Nate Davis. The number of swings he took at WR’s and other Oline losers. The team suffers every week from Poles mess-ups. IED’s blowing up everywhere on the team every week. I think Poles is a bargaining chip for the next HC. You want him, we keep him, you don’t want him then help us bring in your guy. Nobody significant will sign as HC without wanting to know the GM circumstances. Now, maybe you can get Ron Rivera (two Super Bowl trips, knows this Defense well,) knows how to be an HC, with little concern about Poles but probably not the other two guys.

I don’t want a coordinator that occupies the HC spot. I want a bonafide tough HC who will delegate the coordinator job

If you came to the comments to flame a Vrabel Choice just do it after being reminded that he hired Matt LaFleur as his first OC and then when he was poached, he hired Arthur Smith. A Vrabel hire does NOT mean having a bad OC. History has said the exact opposite. The man can hire good coordinators.

I worry Johnson as great as he is OC , may make the same mistakes as the last few coordinator hires w NO head coach XP. Ala Nagy Eberflus . Head in the play sheets and ignoring the rest . I lean Vrabel w a top notch OC although I’m tempted to not miss out on the next Oconell / lafluer type.
@deanjlosКүн бұрын
Vrabel with Daboll as OC would be a really good situation if we can pull that off. Thats if Daboll gets fired tho
@Ye_shu_aКүн бұрын
Why Daboll? What has he done?
@deanjlosКүн бұрын
@Ye_shu_a in my opinion he wasn't a bad OC in Buffalo with Josh Allen and whatever talent Daniel Jones had he brought the best out of him. Daniel Jones has his best year under Daboll and they made the playoffs under him. Jones just isnt talented enough i cant out that on Daboll thay jones likes throwing to the other team. He also was the OC for Alabama when they had Tua and Hurts amd we all know how good that offense was. so he is a solid qualified option in my opinion with a good qb and a talented offense which we have.
@alexamerling79Күн бұрын
I am fine with either of these two.

Vrabel Has a winning background with the Tennessee Titans his only losing year was his last If they can keep Thomas Brown as OCI think that would be a dynamic combination Vrabel is a tough minded coach and that is exactly what we need enough with the nice guys an inexperienced guys
@haroldsimpson8422Күн бұрын
I need a head coach who can control the locker room and ensure the players are disciplined. He must be able to hire an offensive coordinator who can get Caleb to be the generational QB that he was branded to be is what we need. Dam, my team is so sorry about how we do business. Ryan Poles has done a gdecision. We have talent, but he also has made some FUKED UP decisions, so yes, there also needs to be someone who questions his final decision.

I’m curious why everybody is talking about the offensive line and nobody is mentioning that we cannot get to the quarterback at all with our front four on defense. like it’s barely ever mentioned. I heard the coach Thomas Brown 3:36 talk about it last week, but that’s it. But I’m ok with either coach that builds these trenches I hope everybody realizes we’re like four years away from having an actual team those trenches actually matter. And the players we need are premium picks. You’re not getting away with second third round players in certain spots.🐻🔽
@willietheraildog2 күн бұрын
Vrabel is a much less risky pick than Johnson. He would certainly need a great OC and quality DC, but as a head coach, he has proven experience. Johnson has "potential." I don't want to gamble on potential, I want experience. The big benefit of Johnson is depriving the Lions of his services, but that's just not enough for me to choose him over Vrabel.
@chibs1301Күн бұрын
Ben Johnson all day and get rid of poles and Cunningham let Johnson bring his guy. Then bring in saleh as DC, he won’t be getting a HC job anytime soon

The Bears havnt had a quality offense since Sid Luckman. It's time for B Johnson. Besides, who's going to teach Caleb? Not Vrable not Flores. But I will say this. If we don't show more support for Ryan Poles nobody is going to want to come to Chicago if our GM doesn't get more support. No HC wants to come to a team with turmoil.

So it’s either they extend Poles or they fire him, I don’t see them letting Poles hire new head coach on a 4 year deal with Poles only having 1 year left on his contract, math ain’t mathing and I don’t think it looks good for Poles, they most likely will bring on a new GM to hire his own coach because if it doesn’t work this year and a new GM comes in next year he’s gonna want his own head coach.

Dude, he did NOT get benched. Stop with the bs to feed our crazy fans. We got it right on both QBs but upgraded with Caleb and our coaches all still suck. Fields was never going to be the starter and Tomlin said so PUBLICLY. Russell Wilson is a SB winning future HOF'er who called and asked Justin to come to Pittsburgh. Russ said so on his ESPN interview. So while we ALL know Caleb is the future but Fields was never benched and never had a chance in Chicago.
