I would love to have Micah Parsons on the Bears. Unfortunately I wouldn’t give up our 1st round pick especially if we are in play for Mason Graham. So it would have to be a draft day or after draft trade. If Graham is available, I would go 2nd, 3rd (especially if we get a 3rd for Ian) 2025 1st, 2026 2nd. Value wise it would be similar to our trade with Carolina. Not as much since we can only guarantee 2 years if he doesn’t sign a contract extension. If Graham is gone by the time we pick. I would give this year’s 1st, 2025 2nd, 2026 2nd. Use our highest 2nd this year to try and trade up into the first to try and get Walter Nolen. My thinking is we sign Trey Smith and Drew Dalman, and draft Wyatt Milum with our 2nd round pick in this scenario. Parsons would cost us $25 million to extend, Smith $20 million, Dalman $15 million. Yeah we probably would have to over pay Smith, and Dalman slightly. With rookie contracts and cap for injuries. This would pretty much eat all of our cap this year. We would be pretty good except Allen probably wouldn’t get an extension. Jenkins would be replaced by Milum. Braxton Jones could be replaced with a draft pick. Hopefully Connerly Jr if we somehow keep a 3rd this year. That leaves Brisker, and Gordon next year, Dexter, and Stevenson in 2026, Wright in 2027. Of course Williams and Odunze in 2028. Even with a projected $80 million increase by 2028. I don’t know how we can avoid cap heck even if we don’t sign Parsons, Smith, and/or Dalman. If Williams and Odunze become all pros. We would be looking at $100+ million in just those two salaries.

Gut reactions to your trades. First: "Absolutely not." Second: "No thanks." I was pushing for a Micah trade months ago when the Bears had a winning record, it made sense then. But after witnessing what an overall disaster this team is, trading for Micah makes no sense whatsoever. Keep the picks, keep this team young, keep the cap space. Get the coaching right and build around Caleb.

i personally would rather use those pick to build up the offensive line

That's why I kept the 2 2nd's this year, which are both top-40 ATM.

Hate to say it but at least what we gave up for Mack: 2 1sts and a 3rd then give him a $35mil per year contract

@Bosa gets paid $34mil average and Parson is on that level

I think a trade would be great but your trades may be a bit high imo.

What would you change?
@BobKillen19672 күн бұрын
@@JAYChi_Bears I just think you may be giving away too much draft capital. This year's first plus some of the players you mention can do it. Dallas must trim their payroll.

BEAR 🐻 DOWN BABY, FGB, PVO, Getting Parsons would be a great part to get the future of this team. We would have to make sure he shows others how to keep working in the weight room to still be great. COME TO YOUR FUTURE HOME MICHAEL PARSONS. Don’t want to let Booker go so don’t let that happen!!!!

I like Sanborn, so no for that second trade. Dallas would rather take the picks and develop them. I'd take the first option though. It'll be a bidding war for Parsons. Would a Bears offer be better than what other teams can? We're probably going to find out.
@JAYChi_Bears3 күн бұрын
But we don't even use Sanborn....
@rons36343 күн бұрын
@@JAYChi_Bears We could get rid of a lot of guys for that reason. We could practically clear the bench! LOL. Or, maybe they start using Sanborn more so they can see what they got in the kid.

This move locks in a key area that we need to sign or draft, pairs him with Sweat for 3 years (min), and a young all-pro that will still be under 3 after this contract is over. 100% make this move. This team is set up way better than when we got Mack from a picks and cap perspective. This is the kind of player you pay

Parsons is a beast, but i think this is a wrong position, wrong time trade proposal. We need DTs and 3-5 OL depending on who you ask. Also, your cap logic is incorrect. That 19 million in cap space Dallas has includes parsons 24 million rookie option. If they sign him long term they can get that cap hit for 2025 lowered by 5 million+. If we're trading draft picks it has to be for OL. We can't draft 2-3 OL and expect to plug them in and be solid performers. QB, WR and OL are 3 positions where players usually need 1 year+ to really be NFL ready. OL really need that year of NFL strength training to reach their peak. We simply cannot ignore the OL another offseason. Parsons would be nice, but we need to start building an OL and could find an impact DT picking around 9

Locks up that position for years and also leaves at least 1 beast pass rusher should Parsons or Sweat is injured…

Trading Austin is not a great idea. They need vet WR help. Give them Keenan Allen, Montez Sweat and a 4th round pick round pick. We are going to pair Micha with Austin. Check out his highlights and all 22. He flashes Super Nova
