As a realist they messed this up before they even selected the HC. I hope I’m wrong, but the organization is so corrupt. When have they ever made a smart hire. It’s always the coaches past their prime or some OC/DC that no one else wanted.

I was dead against drafting CW. Then I watched your video “In Structure Highlights” and I was blown away. It changed my entire perspective. I still adamantly believe he was the right pick and will be by FAR the best QB we have ever had. If anyone saw Ryan Poles introduction he stated he was hired to BREAK A CYCLE. He has not done everything perfectly; no GM has in the NFL; but he has taken us a LONG WAY in a short time. We were buried financially and the only 2 members we still have from when he took over are Jaylon Johnson and Cole Kmet. That’s it. If you think it is easy to break a cycle; think again. Detroit wanted Dan Campbell fired and Jared Goff benched soon into their time together. What if they would have done that because they didn’t give it time???? Poles put us where we are now; which is night and day compared to where we were. We all wanted the Super Bowl this year; just wasn’t realistic.

Everyone seems to be sold on BJ. He maybe a great OC. , but the big question is can be a leader of men?? We need a Head Coach who can motivate and give this team confidence to trust one another.

I have a feeling Vrabel may end up in his old stomping grounds in New England. The Bears need an offensive guy like Johnson or J. Brady, or even trade for Shanahan.

They need to be honest and do some consulting on how to identify a HC in interviews. Might be a great OC or DC, but that doesn’t mean they’d even be a decent HC. Even if a D-minded coach, they need to know what O CW needs built around him and who can do that.

Don’t sleep on Monken. Putting my UGA homerism aside, he has raised Lamar and BAL’s offense to another level. Look at the drop-off of UGA’s offense since he left. And he never really had any elite QBs to work with at UGA. And those offenses were still amazing. He’s been an elite playcaller for a long time. Longer than Ben Johnson.

I really like Todd Monken. He was a good head coach for Southern Miss, an All-American QB at Knox College, has QB coaching experience & was a good OC for Buccaneers(when he called plays), Georgia when they won back to back championships & Ravens. I think his scheme would work great with Caleb. Plus he's from Wheaton, IL & his dad was a football coach for 30 years at Lake Park High & his brother is the head coach for Army. Only problem is he may curse to much for the Bears/Virginia 🙄.

Doing 12 interviews tells me they don’t have a vision on the type of coach that they want. Information on these coaches is readily available. You don’t need to bring everyone available in to interview.

LOOKING like you're trying to make the right choice amongst an extensive list is not synonymous with making the best choice. But with this organization there is an army of doubters and cynics among the fanbase. Eberflus proved to be the worst coach imaginable. The next guy won't have a high bar. But we're sick of managing our expectations.

They have not had a real coach since the legendary Mike Ditka. Lovie Smith was just meh and the last four coaches have been garbage. My coaching wish list 1) Johnson, 2) Coen, 3) Vrabel, 4) Kingsbury

Lovie was definitely not meh. He won the division multiple times, won playoff games, got us to the Superbowl, and beat the Packers more than anyone since Ditka.

Most of these are better candidates than Matt Eberflus, but I do not think Arthur Smith is. He’s like a more vocal Shane Waldron. Also I have zero interest in Petzing and Flores. Flores is way too negative!!
