I laugh at these guys cuz they actually think Kevin Warren has any decision making powers. KW is an empty suit and just a figure head for the Bears. The Billionaire owners make the decision because it's their money. KW isn't paying a dime towards this stadium deal.

Let's remember, Kevin Warren doesn't own the Chicago Bears, the final decision to where they build is the McCaskey. Do really think that they want to give up on actually owning your own stadium and all the other amenities or keep paying renters fees for the new lakefront stadium. No brainier Arlington is the best.

They’d rather rent. Part of them paying the $2 billion is getting a favorable rent as well as all of the revenue from the venue, even non-football events.

Carm actually makes a great point regarding Hammond. Would I want the stadium there? Absolutely not. But in terms of leverage and extracting concessions from the state, they are bidding against themselves if the 2 locations the bears are between are both in - drumroll - the same state.

McCaskeys should spin off a new company that would own stadium in Arlington and all other commercial properties on that site. They should go public and issue shares. The IPO revenue could then be used begin construction. Once completed they could start paying dividends to shareholders from profit on all commercial activities. The Bears team would not be included, this is specifically an incorporation of the Arlington property and development.

CArm is soooo desperate to have the new stadium built in the city. Dummy. Bears will invest a lot more money in the Bears stadium project in Arlington Heights beuase the return onthe invest will be 5-10x greater in Arlington then at the lakefront. Same with the State of Illinois, they'll give tappayer money cuz they know it will come back from the increased revenue. Bears will NEVER move to Indiana because most season ticket holders are in the Chicago suburbs.

Nothing burger regarding Arlington Heights. They are the largest landowners in Arlington heights and will be doing some development on it or selling it. In either case, they were going to continue discussions on the taxes for that property. They could be breaking ground on the new stadium on the lakefront tomorrow, and they’d still be doing this tax dance.
