The fact that Tony was 24 hours out from finally getting the green light to be on the show blows my mind. Not only that, he had to fight to actually get up on stage and give a performance actually blows my fucking mind. I’ve watched hundreds of KT episodes and my respect for Tony is the highest it’s ever been. It’s awesome how he broke down the process of getting the call, haggling with the executives to let him cook. Everyone’s that’s watched KT knows Tony is one of the wittiest, funniest comics ever. As a long time fan, I’m so freaking happy to see him finally get his big moment and absolutely murdered it.

@@Sid00077 You have a point there... However, with this being the internet, podcasters don't have to play by the rules of traditional television and radio. A podcast doesn't have to be just 1 hour or 30 minutes on the dot. They already know that listeners are consuming while driving, working or at the gym. So you don't have to go 2 or 3 hours either. But you can definitely go for an hour 15 or an hour 30. So they can let the conversation go a little bit longer. I think Mark Maron rushes sometimes as well. He's always interrupting and answering The question that he just asked his guest. Apparently that's his thing, but it would be nice if he could ask a question and then shut up and let the person Express their thought before he chimes in. Oh well. Not even worth complaining...but it does annoy me. Anyway, best to thank them all for the free entertainment and try to get out to see them live

Jeff Ross is the Executive Producer of ALL THESE ROASTS, ...and its Jeff Ross that MAKES THESE ROASTS HAPPEN! ...and that makes them so good. It's only ridiculous if you're worried about the comedy and not the money but the people making the decisions are worrying about the money as well and they probably have an understanding of the basic concept of negotiation from a point of advantage, which Tony would have overwhelming leverage on at this point. Meanwhile Tom and Bert would be highly motivated to want to make up for their embarrassment and redeem themselves, hell they might even get them to do it for free! There's market forces that play this is America baby pay attention and follow the money

Bert and Tom’s comedy had plateaued and I think their careers are on auto pilot. If they don’t start putting more effort in soon I think opportunities will stop coming in. Meanwhile Tony is constantly grinding and has more talent than those two put together. He has become the king of roasting and I think his career will have more longevity than Bert and Tom. I think Tony has the right skill set and mindset to eventually be the biggest comedian on the planet.

I have been a personal Tony promoter to all of my coworkers and friends who haven’t watched the roast yet or haven’t made it that far into it yet.
