Skip Bayless and Keyshawn Johnson react to the Chicago Bears trading former first round pick Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a conditional 2025 6th-round pick. The trade pairs Russell Wilson and Fields together in the Pittsburgh QB room. Skip and Keyshawn breakdown the trade of the former Ohio State QB.

The elephant in the room is that Justin Fields better flame out in Pittsburgh & Caleb Williams better be what they think he is in Chicago… otherwise this is a all time disaster
@williamblackfyre4866
@williamblackfyre4866 2 ай бұрын
No one has a magic crystal ball. All you can do is make decisions based on the information available. Caleb might be the most highly touted prospect since Lawrence...and before that Newton, Luck, and Manning. For the past 3 years Chicago had subpar QB play. Maybe it's Fields fault, maybe its not but these are the facts. Getting a guy like Mahomes or Rodgers, or whoever they are projecting Caleb to be like as he matures is a FRANCHISE altering pick up. I dont think Fields is franchise altering even if he hits his ceiling. I dont think Poles can afford to NOT take a chance on Caleb. The risk/reward is just too good to pass up. So give him the weapons to succeed. If he flames out, that's fine. No one can really predict when a #1 1st round pick will bust but given all the information available, this is the correct move.

@@ricobrown1158Its the bears. All the moves they are making to draft a QB now they should have done when they drafted Justin. He was drafted with a team that had a logo and a bag of chips. Anyone with a brain saw that he wouldn't be successful. Couple that with terrible, and I mean terrible coaching, how could any of us bears fans expect this kid to succeed. There is a reason roquan and any other talented player we had wanted out. I'm glad there doing this stuff now but they did that kid wrong not setting him up to succeed. Another depressing year may be on the horizon if this Williams kid isn't what they say.

If they moved to 2 or 3 they could still draft MHJ with the 9th pick they could get a lineman or the best corner or w.e. they wanted to do. The only problem is people see William's as a generational talent so you would rather have him. If this draft didn't have him it would kinda make sense to stick with him.

He just goes out and puts them in records books just ask kupp, and puka, or they have the best season of their career and lead the league in TDs to get a massive deal elsewhere just like Kenny G 🤙🏽. Man doesn't need First round talent he makes the WRs he plays with better, and if he does have a first round talent, then they just would set the record for most receiving yards in a single season oh wait that's already done as well 🤙🏽

@victorfletcher4188 I don't know who "they" are lol they don't even have the coaches they have from 2 years ago they hired a new offensive coach and a new qb coach. I think they are really taking this development seriously. Fact is we looking at guys like cj stroud and Jordan love take off, their qb cores were not that great either. They are just great qbs. If fields need a loaded Talented roster to be good then he just not the guy. Mahomes just won a SB with kelce as his only reliable option to throw to. Bears have to get the qb right.

The HATERS can say what they want, but in just a few months, the Steelers have ENDED the QB drama we were left with at the end of last year, picked up a veteran QB and his potential replacement moving forward!!! Fields could learn a lot from Wilson while he's there and also at a cheap price tag so that capital can go towards more possibly free agents!!! Plus, we've got the draft!!! Steelers have done a TERRIFIC job this offseason getting Wilson and Fields as their QBs. Personally I think Wilson is going to have a chip on his shoulder. the hate that man gets is unreal to me. he was great for Seattle in so many ways. And, to get Fields to learn from Wilson for a year or even compete is a perfect situation. Tomlin is a great coach and will give these guys space and encouragement to be themselves vs. what Payton did to Wilson. They got these guys for nothing too. Great moves by the Steel Curtain.

Seems like everyone with common sense is saying the same thing. Justin Fields never had any opportunity to properly develop with the weapons he had around him until last year when they finally got 1 capable WR in DJ Moore. The Bears finally this year decided to build off of the defenses success from the end of last year and really had a chance to keep building with Justin Fields but took the bait in Caleb Williams who had a much worse college career than Justin Fields did. The smart choice for the Bears was to draft Marvin Harrison Jr. with the first pick and the 9th pick go with the best Olineman. Justin held the ball a long time but really never had a decent Oline to protect him. I'm saying this as a wise Packers fan btw. The Bears really have no idea what they are doing.

Bears will be in for a rude awakening if they pick up Caleb Williams. I wouldn't have traded Fields if I'm honest after the moves they made. Fields showed improvement when he got a weapon in DJ Moore. Claypool was a huge disappointment the year before. Bringing in Allen with addition of the TE, only thing Bears needed was another LT, maybe a guard. So now they have to start over, Caleb is another Aaron Rodger's from what I've seen of him. In regards to Trey Lance, that guy didn't look like he had it, Field has it, just needed weapons and protection.

@sixpathssebas1568 It's not a good thing. Rodger's in his later years became disruptive to the Packer's organization. Soaked up the money while producing multiple 1 and done playoffs, or not making the Playoffs over the last 10 years. The year the Packers won the SB, the defense carried the team. Rodger's was just brilliant in the SB. Rodger's got coaches fired for plays he was changing. He tried to get the GM fired. He plays favoritism to certain players like a Nelson or Adam's which ultimately was a detriment to the team. He's trying to get political now which just comes off looking stupid most of the time. His arrogance tend to rub people the wrong way and is generally not liked by people not kissing his a$$. Rodger's is good, but in his later years, he's not been a difference maker except for when he played against the Bears and Cowboys.

@beazy3364 I'm sure the Bears would rather have Lombardi trophy's and not just someone with individuals awards. That's Rodger's problem, he's too into himself and thanks he's the greatest with 1 SB win, only 1 SB appearance. No leadership qualities, that's what separates Rodger's from Patrick MaHomes, Payton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Elway, ect. When the game is on the line in the Playoffs, you can't count on him.
