Recently made the decision to go sober, and I’m only 8 days in. But I’ve exercised 7/8 days, I’ve called my mom nearly every day, I’ve been happier, healthier, and this album isn’t the only reason I’ve been able to but…it’s a huge part. This album gives me those goosebumps you used to get as a kid in church and thought it was the Holy Spirit. Keep getting better guys, everyday. And when you fail, listen to this again and stop wasting time. Go for a walk. Call your parents. Text and see how your friends are doing. No more excuses, just be better.

Caleb had previously said that The Surface was going to be the antithesis of Below and without a doubt, he was right!!! This new album is a very good continuation of Below, from beginning to end it is a journey full of emotions, which is very enjoyable thanks to the fact that the sound of this album is bright, colorful, without leaving aside its dark touch (although this LP is not dark like it was on Below), the lyrics of each song are actually quite reflective and catchy (like that the band talked about mental health on this record), the riffs and breakdowns on this album are excellent, aggressive and so addictive, plus it has a solid mix, production and Caleb's voice remains unstoppable, from my point of view Below is Beartooth's best album but honestly it was worth waiting for this new one, long live to rock music as always and I hope the band brings us more material in the future!!! (I hope The Surface has a Deluxe edition with bonus tracks or acoustic versions soon!!), rock will never die!!!! 😎🎸🎶💿🔥👏

Every single song I’ve heard from the album is absolutely incredible. As someone that struggled with mental health for years and overcame it, every single song I can basically put to the soundtrack of my life. Thank you so much for this album, anthem after anthem to encourage people to overcome their challenges, love life and live it to the fullest. Can’t wait to see them in concert again, get better with every show 🤘🏻

This song reminds me of my favorite saying, don't remember where I first heard it but it goes.... "You're only truly living when you're not afraid to die, and if you're afraid to live you might as well be dead."

This song is going to be a legendary song soon as it gets me to my own prayer for help with my own mental disabilities and also have hope in this world when it's very dark and dangerous out there.... Keep it up Beartooth

Been listening to Beartooth since the first album and I still love these guys. I resonate more with their old stuff more still... but i am loving Caleb's and the guy's new foundation in life! I need this music in my life to try and make it my new goal.🖤

Usually, when an artist figures out their pain, the art suffers…totally not the case in this situation. Seeing the personal growth expressed in music is such an amazing thing to witness. Thank God there are still actual rock bands!!

This legit feels like it was written from my aunt who died two years ago now. She didn't have kids. Always said I was her kid. But boy did she LIVE. ❤

Birch, I hope you were truly alive as much as you could be. Rest in peace. I hate that you chose the permanent solution instead of asking for help. I hope that, at least, before you left us, that you could say that you were alive, that you didn't just live. I wish you didn't leave us. I know the world is hard and things are tough right now. I hope that, even though you ended your life, that you can say that you were alive. Because I believe you were. You tried your best. You were loved. We cared and still do care. You were alive. You didn't just live. Rest in peace.

The greatest thing I love about all of beartooths albums is how they represent the arc of growth Caleb has gone through. From below the disgusting diseaed pit to up here on the surface. Cant wait when he flys.

Read all Beartooths album/ep titles in order - we all have a "Sick Disgusting Aggressive Disease Below The Surface" it's as if this album really completes the arc and in a beautiful way. Best album yet!

Hope you're doing well. Much love and positive vibes. Every day is a new experience and a treasure even if it doesn't seem that way at the time. You can't appreciate all the beautiful moments without having lows and sadness to compare them to. Have a great day friend.

My brother passed away seven years ago from a suspected suicide. He’d love this song. He had that “here for a good time, not a long time” mentality and I’m confident this song describes him perfectly.

Listening to this song as I reflect on where my life has been and been built from, gives me absolute goosebumps...and remembering seeing these guys for the first time, and so far the only time live, in Hartford, Ct at the final Warped Tour...makes me appreciate this that much more for some reason. Kickass song🤘🤘
