I've listened to "scene", "pop-punk", "hardcore", "warped tour" bands for 20 years and I've been a Beartooth album from the first record. As I've gotten older I still LOVE all the music from these genres (it's all I listen to really) but I've found it increasingly more difficult to relate to the lyrics. I'm not an angsty teen anymore and the "hate this town", "fight my demons", "tortured artist" lyrics just aren't something I can relate to anymore....Which is why I LOVE stuff like this. Hearing songs like this make me feel like the artists have matured with me. The music can feel uplifting, the lyrics can feel proud and happy and still include all the things I love about the music I grew up on. This song is a total banger and I'd love to hear more like it on the next record.

Hell Yeah I feel the same way as a former addict of 14 years, stuck in my own personal hell for so long.. Depressed & surrounded by darkness.. 9 years sober here so far & going strong! I've had this song on repeat ALL morning, some out there just can't understand songs or artistry like this from Caleb's perspective or someone like him like myself& others who lived on both sides of the fence of life while most others just point fingers & blame or give excuses.. Often easy to judge someone when we haven't walked a day in their shoes.. I hope he makes more songs like this! Love this shit

I hope for Caleb's sake this new outlook on life is natural and not a result of a medication. It's so nice to see someone taking control of themselves and becoming the person they want to be but it reminds me so much of when I got on psych meds that were getting me high.
