Thanks for checking out the video! In this episode we go down Bearwallow trail 77 which is a double black trail. It was AWESOME! The video does not do this terrain justice. This is exactly the type of terrain we love and a big reason the Bearwallow is my favorite network of trails in the Hatfield and McCoy trail system. I could spend all day on this trail and hope that in the future when we go back we can hit it going up and down. I'd love to spend a few days just riding the Bearwallow trails. Stay tuned, we are just getting started on Bearwallow and there is some even crazier sections coming. We will hit a few trails similar to this going up in future episodes and things get spicy, lol.

@AdrenalineJunkieProd Жыл бұрын
Ya, going up would be epic. No doubt certain machines and riders would struggle. Winches would get a workout. Getting up a few of the spots would require full commitment and some serious throttle. In situations like that when things don’t play out carnage is guaranteed. As you saw, we were super far from camp and blowing a diff or an axle is one thing but if someone broke something more serious like an a-arm we would be in quite a pickle. Stay tuned to future episodes. You’ll see what happens when things don’t play out like you planned lol.

Ya man, your so right. That's why I had mentioned we didn't want to risk issues so early in the day. A serious breakdown this far out would cost us most the day. Like I said, would be cool to go back and hit some of these up but Its a balance between covering the ground we want to cover and wrecking early in the day. It’s a 12 hour drive one way for us to get to WV and ride. We are quite a distance from where we stay too. Trust me, We wanna try and go up all these sections but sometimes logic dictates we need to keep moving. We want to see other trails and cover a lot of ground. With a group this large it could potentially take us 4-6 hours to get up a trail like this if some people struggled. If we had a serious breakdown it could be the end of the day and a very difficult extraction. It’s not an excuse, just the reality of the situation. It’s different when you are an hour from home in an area it’s easy to extract a broken machine from. You need to weigh the pros and cons. We all have an agreement that we don’t send too hard early in the trip or early in the day because we don’t want to wreck the rest of the trip or day for others. It’s about finding that balance. Trust me, going down was awesome and we all had fun. A few of the guys had no interest in goin up and a few of the machines would have struggled and likely taken some damage. It’s not fair to them to force them to try or to make them wait hours as we try. Sometimes the group makes a decision that’s best for everyone. We are a team. Just wanted to explain the thought process to you. We bust chops about not going up or just going down for fun. However, ultimately we make the decision that’s best for the group at the given time.
@camerondavis4180 Жыл бұрын
@AdrenalineJunkieProd I get it. We do the same when we go out. Not fun breaking in the beginning of the day. @AdrenalineJunkieProd Жыл бұрын
Thanks William. Some sections would be hard in the Kitty Cat for sure. Trails like this one go between two trails so you could bypass this section by staying on the green or blue trail and just find your way to where this section of trail ends. Most of these trails form loops so all you need to do is follow the trails you are comfortable with to the exit of the black trail. Everything is very well mapped here.

Hey Jason, yes we did road ride there. It's around 25ish minutes. You are NOT supposed to go on the interstate. We took the wrong road. There is a road that runs parallel to the interstate. It takes about the same amount of time. It's scenic and a nice road cruise. You can comfortably ride over. I think taking the trailers is likely more effort. However if you decide to take the trailers there is a large parking area at the Bearwallow trailhead you can park at. You wouldn't enter in Logan where we did though. You can find the info online on the official Hatfield and McCoy website.
