Less than a year remains for marines, family members, and civilians who were harmed by contaminated water while living or working at Camp Lejeune military base to file an administrative claim for compensation under the Camp Lejeune Justice Act.

Recently, the Department of the Navy and the Department of Justice created a settlement program known as Elective Option (EO) in an attempt to resolve a select number of claims. This small subset of claims is limited to a short list of injuries, and additional requirements exist to qualify for participation.
