Crap I didn't expect to drop so many tears while watching your forever funny videos... I knew Rapha very well, we became friends in the early 2022 until his pass away on may due to dengue... We used to talk about anything, we told funny anecdotes on each other and we sent a bunch of reels - could we say that we were in a reelationship? Could be...- This guy was so sweet and wise and funny and he loved Dan so much, they have known each other forever, they were so complice. It's so rare to see such a complicity. Despite my tears, I really enjoyed your video as always! They made another video I like a lot that is "Pandemic" Accept - considering what killed Rapha, it sounds like a bad joke now... - But Gosh I like the way he stole the show from Dan on that video! Don't hesitate to go and check his videos on his channel and even listen to his tracks on Spotify, I'm sure you'll love it! His group keeps working on his project to honor him

Know Dan misses his friend

I found this on Dan's X/Twitter when I was looking for info on Raph Lamim. It was posted on May 1st of this year... "It's with a heavy heart that I share these sad news. Today I lost my friend Raphael Lamim. We've been living 5 minutes from each other for 15 years and he was the only dude in this town more obsessed about retro games than me. You might recognize him from a couple of videos we did together. But he also produced and engineered the recordings of my band's first album during the entirety of 2013 and some more. We were together in studio almost daily for 6-10 hours a day during this period. And every minute was insanely fun. Back when I was just a kid yelling into a mic, he chose to believe in me, barely charging for the studio sessions. He was the first who encouraged me (not to say demanded) that I sang with more grit and aggressiveness. He pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me better. I remember this time during the recordings that I had this bad breakup with a girl. I called Lamim and he said "Bro, just come over to the studio." It was the middle of the night. When I got there he said "You're gonna sing all your sadness and anger into that mic and we're only leaving when it's all out." We recorded and talked, and when I couldn't sing anymore we drove to a 24h McDonald's, got back and played Diablo 3 until the sun started to shine through the windows. He taught me how to fix the vertical lines of my Gameboy screen. And he taught me how to replace the old capacitors on my NES's motherboard. We were recently talking about him helping me to build an arcade machine, but we'll have to postpone that. I'll never forget him and I'll treasure what we created together forever. Até breve, mano." There's also a photo and a short video attached, of Raph speaking about (I assume) the night that Dan was recalling in this post. RIP Raphael

Beast in Black has very catchy songs. And very 80s. Their singer Yannis does also have youtube channel with various covers. Also plenty of anime references, the band name is a reference to the protagonist of Berserk mange/anime and many of the lyrics are related to that. Later there have been more movie and other anime references as well.

Again a brilliant cover and a brilliant reaction! Hope he is soon back on the interwebs.The guy playing guitarre is a (some months ago deciesed) friend of his. In his studio the Fearless album was recordet. And during (or short after) this time, Dan had a hard time with a breakup. His friend helped him a lot in this time.

Great reaction! Always love when Sir Goesbackalot strikes. After hearing Dan's performance I went to check the original. Dan certainly put his own take on it and both are awesome. Well, I knew that pause was coming, but then, I know the original 😉😉 Beast in Black is a great band from Finland with a superb vocalist from Greece, Iannis. Well worth a listen, this one or something from the latest album, Dark Connection. But for even more vocal pyrotechnics, Viking, look for Battle Beast and something like Master of Illusion. Noora's gritty belts will knock your socks off! 😵😵😁😁🤘 P.s. Viking, for more of that clean falsetto of Dan's, look for Wuthering Heights.
