Thank you! I'd be happy to talk through it. Would you like an overview, or prefer me to focus on some aspects? (Edit: I'm happy to try this. But there's so much I could say, it's hard to compress it into a short video. I will see what I can do!)

Glad you liked it, my friend. Do you mean, a version where you can see the piano notes light up clearly? (Or sheet music, an actual MIDI file, etc) I may have lost the original files when my laptop was stolen, but I can try to learn and play this again

Sure man! But first, what kinda music do you like so I narrow the choices?
@firosuke2 жыл бұрын
@@claudiothewarrior wow, so quick! Thanks for replying. If I had to narrow it down, I'd go for these kinds of things: lyrical, expressive, nostalgic, reflective, peaceful, not too big or outwardly dramatic... generally any song you'd be interested to hear this kind of cover of?... but dw if nothing comes to mind.

Das Originallied ist ein Meisterwerk, aber irgendwie übertrifft es es, erregt etwas in mir und hilft mir, mir immer wieder das Herz zu brechen.

lol, this is the first time I get a message in German. Welcome! (I saw it and thought "oh dear, they're gonna say the original is a masterwork and I f**ked it up....." I''m glad I was wrong!) I am glad you liked it. I agree, the original is a masterwork. I love the chords, and the mood. It is perfectly designed. But, I am not able to play music how other people tell me to! So I tried to tell the story in my way. Many people (including me) can relate to Legoshi: his desire to fit in, but also his feeling of being different, and his struggle to understand his difference. I think those feelings are strong in the original piece. Here, I explored those feelings for myself. Also I recorded this around 3.30 in the morning. It had a special quiet atmosphere and I think that helped!

@@firosukei'm not german, i do study german (and japanese too). i'm half mexican and half australian, and i live in spain (it's kinda better). i did know your piece for so long if i'm honest, but i didn't really love it until i felt it. for some reason i thought your version was sadder, but at the same time was kinder, it's a painful love melody. beastars used to be my favourite when i used to watch anime, but it was already 3 years ago. i did related with barely every character in some way, mostly with louis and juno, but also haru and legoshi. i do really like your style, can i sugest one improv cover?

@@firosukei forgot to tell you that i'm a poet and recently i wrote with this piece on the background, it ended very well, thank you
@firosuke10 ай бұрын
@@maria-sssc wow, you seem like quite a polyglot! >_< I wonder why you chose to write in German -- just practising? 🙂 Haha, don't worry. I don't think we can attach a fixed value to a piece of music over time. Sometimes I had an album for many years before I listened and suddenly enjoyed it. Or I loved some music before, and then I didn't want to listen any more. I rarely think of explicit things when playing -- for me, it's like following a river of emotions and sound patterns, following some kind of "internal logic". I enjoyed Beastars. Indeed, many of the characters are very relatable and interesting. I am glad if you enjoy anything I make 🙂for sure, please do suggest covers. I can't promise they would turn out as expected. I usually learn the basics of the song, and then start making something up. I don't plan ahead at all, so the result is unpredictable. I'm happy to try, if you suggest anything!
@firosuke10 ай бұрын
@@maria-sssc Haha, I'm glad to hear that too. Recently I had a chance to improvise music (solo or with others) while a poet performed -- it was quite interesting! Keep writing. In fact, if you like, I can suggest you share a poem, and I try to improvise music to it, then you/I can make a video from it. Just let me know if you're interested.

Hi, yes! I took a lot of inspiration from Chopin. I listened to a lot of music from him. I think he was a natural improviser and his music reflects that...
@lorda4273 Жыл бұрын
would a 61 piano be enough to play all beastars soundtracks?
@firosuke Жыл бұрын
Thanks for stopping by! The short answer is, you can probably play some rendition of any song on a 61 key piano. (Beastars specifically? I think some of the songs would be easier than others -- I guess Beautiful Pina is hard, Harlequin Rabbits is medium, Legoshi's theme or Don't forget, maybe are okay. You can always play easier or harder versions of the same song.) You might have to change the notes sometimes (play or move to a different octave) when it goes very high or very low. If you are trying to play some music exactly as written (- I don't like it , I prefer to improvise🙂-) then it can be inconvenient; but if you want to make your own version, then in theory you can adapt it to whatever instrument you want. Personally I like using the high and low piano notes -- you have more sounds to play with -- but then the piano takes more space, and it's hard to move the keyboard around. If you have a chance, I suggest to try a bigger keyboard eventually (76 or 88 keys) but I think you can get good music from a 61 key piano! I often use small pianos and don't mind so much.
