I think the Beastie Boys' unique appeal with all their videos is that they're all stupidly entertaining to anyone who watches it. Even if you've never heard of them, or you're not into their genre of music or even if you don't understand English at all. Its just them running around the city or sets, dressed in costumes, with cheesy special effects and just beating the crap out of each other.

holy crap I am fully ashamed that I never saw this video before. I can't call myself a Beastie Boys "fan" as it was never like that. They became a part of my life in high school when they were still a hardcore band and they just never left. The only band who I consistently enjoyed over decades - every album a sincere treat! I was a Metallica fan, I was a Green Day fan, I was a Red Hot Chili Peppers fan...they all got really boring after a while and I quit them cold. Beastie Boys? Nah - they transcended fandom IMO.
