@@jasonjohnson4028 I still have the old WNYU college Cassette tapes I would record off the radio from 1982 the DJ would play BB and announce where they would be doing a show in the city it would be a line up of punk bands like Reagan youth would play gigs with them and they were all just kids in punk bands back then

Yeah, definitely. When I saw them, they did their rap thing and then the stage was turned around and as it turned toward the crowd they were all wearing smoking jackets and played their instrumental songs and switched instruments in between some songs. Then after people thought the show was over, they went and played one last song in the “shitty seats”, very talented musicians who play at least 3 different styles but never get credit for being as talented as they are.

The way the audio was mixed makes the vocals "dissapear" when listening with mono audio. Using (stereo sound) headphones or a stereo speaker will fix

alden138 holy crap. Listening on a different TV and I hear them again! Someone on a forum years ago said the vocals were mixed mono and phased in such a way that on certain devices that it cancels out the frequency.

This song isn’t by the BB, it’s originally composed by New York’s hxc band “Frontline”, formed in 1981 and whose members would move on to form Bad Brains or Shelter among others. Beastie Boys did change the lyrics though... And yes, this version is way better.
