@@PERTHSCOOTER07 that’s always how it goes 🥹, but we move on I guess. My 97 2.8 SWB import is pretty much going to be a very similar build. I’m pretty happy with the 32s at the moment I have on her and then doing a 2 inch lift all round too which we’ll help hugely 👀

@ hi there. I bought the car originally for $4200. I spent a fortune on it modifying and maintaining / repairing (I lost count how much) I sold for $5k but at a time when prices were rock bottom. I reckon it would be $10k - $12k in todays market

@@PERTHSCOOTER07 Warning long post: Gosh darn it, that is super cheap mate. Wished I could snag that. Or something similar, even paying higher. Just started my journey here with a Pajero 4 SWB. But I've been seeing these videos for the Pajero 2 and it's Solid Axle, and it's like a Mountain Goat where it can go. My car was listed for $15k, managed to haggle for 11k. Had my brother inspect it for me, so basically bought sight unseen. Realised it was flogged. They replaced motor and timing chain recently ($6k job ?) but no receipts. Previous owner was a sparky. So I spent another $3k on it myself to clean it out, fix small things, full flush, new AT Tyres, and new radiator. So total is $14k so far, almost stock (tow bar, nudge bar, spotties, roof rack, awning, stock wheels, Bluetooth headunit). It has 340,000 km on the Odometer, and when timing chain was changed it was 270k. It loves to drink, getting around 15km/100L from highway and around 18km doing in-town/low speeds. Live in a remote town, roads are non-existent and lots of corrugations. All my trips are small (less than 5km/10mins) so I didn't want the hassles of the Diesel (DPF clogging). Petrol is just easier to clean and service. But yeah that high mileage doesn't look good, for petrol, and for the price it is. I think I could have done better, but do you think I did bad overall ? By the way, found someone who wanted to sell me their Mitsubishi Shogun Evolution. That's the homologation off-road race car. They made like 10,000 of them globally just to qualify for Dakar. For $20k, unregistered, and likely needed some work. It would have been worth it, as they are super rare and go for $60k. But having something that cool, I don't think I would be able to drive it off-road. I would fear something breaking, dint, or scratches. And I specifically wanted the Pajero 4 for being modern, super common, for parts and whatnot. Any thoughts on that ?
