No Fatalis Armor, No Kjaar Weapon, No Safi Armor, No Rocksteady Mantle, No Evasion Mantle, No Coral Horn, No Health Augment!
Also no propper juwels and basically no full lvl skills

I used a build very similar (if not exactly like this one) when I first beat Alatreon solo. Being able to throw down that much elemental damage and reliably break the horns makes you feel like a god without the need of siege exclusive or Black Dragon armor or weapons.

This video brings back memories. 2 years ago on my Xbox I decided to solo Alatreon with basically this build asides from a few different pieces - Frostfang Barioth LS, no health augment, all that stuff. I had just gotten off the high from killing Raging Brachy so I automatically assumed I was good enough to take on Alatreon without grinding for better gear. I was way too stubborn to farm for Kulve or Safi and I didn't use Master's Touch either. Fight took me 4 hours straight of non stop bashing my head against the wall, hoping to kill it. It got so bad to the point where if I died just once in the first 5 minutes I would just leave the quest. I used every tactic known to mankind to kill the thing asides from grinding for better gear. Hell, my first kill was like 35 minutes long cos I just died and I refused to go fight Alatreon without the elemental resist up from the canteen looool. I waited at camp for literally 6-7 minutes just so I could eat again. Really sorry for the wall of text but this video just reminded me of probably the hardest boss fight I've ever done in my life, no thanks to my stubborness haha. Even with much better gear now your run here still beats my average runs on Alatreon my miles. Good vid! 👍

Hey first of all, thank you for sharing you‘r very own experience with this fight! I my self jumped right into the fight when it first released, i had no idea how challenging and memorable it would become. It took me one day to beat it for the first time, and one thing is for sure. Nice, i’ve beat Alatreon over 80 times now, and several times I beat him with the most basic gear that is all craftable with no siege gear or Fatalis armor, just to show that you don’t need overpowered gear. Then I beat him with only high rank gear and no health augment, only rarity 8 weapons, armor and charm, so it just goes to show that the gear is less important than your skill and perseverance. That being said the first time I fought him it felt like an insurmountable task, I kept dying and I would struggle to break the horn and kill him fast enough, it’s amazing to see how far you’ve come after struggling but persevering

@@gaby232323 I do have a video. It wasn’t too difficult but it took me 22 minutes so twice as long as it would with an optimized master rank set. People were beating extreme behemoth solo in high rank and they both have the same amount of hp, around 50,000, so the damage isn’t the issue. Not getting hit so you don’t get one shot is the hard part. Peppo beat Fatalis in only high rank gear which is even harder. So it’s absolutely possible if your skill is high enough

@@gaby232323 it’s a common challenge run there are plenty of videos on KZbin of people using unupgraded kjarr weapons, even without any armor equipped. That’s why failing the dps checks is always a skill issue, you can always just get good enough to where it doesn’t matter with basic MR gear with elemental damage.

Sadly I wasn't at full health so despite being ready with astera jerky I died... I will keep going as there is clear improvement. NOTE - this is still on the special investigation!!

@@AlastairScarlett good job! Healh augment is very important, in this video i did not use health augment just for showcase purposes. So since you got health augment on your LS, you got a few more openings for helmbraker. I recommend you to watch my other speed run with good gear (6‘47“), so you can see all the openings. Also i would stick with crit eye since more damge = more element checks = faster kill time

Wow... The skillset is far from optimal, even for a pre-MR 100 player, even if the gear is basically the best you can get, barring Kulve/Safi gear. Rather, you beat him using incredible skill with the LS and high knowledge about the mechanics of the fight. As an LS main, even though I have soloed Fatalis, I still am not close to the level of proficiency as you are. GG, amazing run!!!

Honestly, Alatreon is way harder then Fatalis. Alatreons fast attacks and combos are really hard to deal with.

Ls element attack is pretty good, but if you're using other slow weapon, its just better youre going raw tbh lol. So in the end, player skills really all you need. I really surprised at how much faster i reach elemental cap using DB compared to when i using SNS with similar build (frostcraft), except i dont use kjarr because that thing sharpness is horrible.

@@manuelbuil1264 i dont remember why I said that, but handicraft is stupidly hard to obtain in this game, since i use frostcraft db, i probably dont have any slot for handicraft even with level 4 jewel where handicraft/random skill isnt exactly that hard to obtain. I figures the damage difference would be minimal anyway since 4 AT velkh gives crit element too like kjarr.

@@manuelbuil1264 i dont have any problem with deco (i have all the rare deco within 500 hours or so including handi, attack, crit, challenger+4 at least 2 each), the problem is the slot in AT velkhana where i cant fit handicraft much, its also kinda pointless using kjarr while using froscraft db you know because i already have crit element from AT velkhana, maybe i can fit few if i fighting fire alatreon. Also, i dont like farming kjarr with horrendous rng, i dont like kulve fight too. Barioth or safi ice would do the job just fine, i can kill alatreon within 6-8 minutes, its adequate enough already

I used 3Nargacuga+2velkhana pieces and FF/Glavenus DBs my first time. Still took me like over 20 min on average. I dont like agitator much cuz fighting an angered Alatreon all the time while still learning it is a gamble; and most skills from the Teostra set are kinda meh.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but to get Temporal Mantle + wouldn't you need to be master rank 150 to unlock the quest for it? I'm currently locked at MR99 so I can't access the slots that I would need. Do I have to change my entire build?

Since i unlockey temporal mantle i can’t downgrade it. Those slots are not needed due to the fact that the mantle got a small up time. You shouldn’t put key skills in your mantles anyway

Replace it with something else like vitality or rocksteady. You'd only need temporal mantle if you're playing solo or want to be the one that wants to break the horns. Even then it all depends if you or your team can meet the elem dps check in order to survive EJ after the 2nd time if alatreon isn't dead by his third ej then there's something wrong with your and the other guys build. If you don't weakened his ej with elem it doesn't matter what you do all of you will cart. Just learn his pattern. When there's no electricity around his body go for the wall bang then go to town on his skull to break those horns. And use astera jerky when he does ej to get your health back.

Thats right, if you do 3 „flinch shots“ and then go for a weakening attack, die monster is enraged. The purpose behind this, is the skill „Agitator“. This gives you a huge damge boost. If you got any questions feel free to ask

@@amystrampel5972 it elongates the time, the monster is frozen. The game thinks you are trying to weaken the monster so it gives you more time. In conclusion, if you jump away you get more time to deal damage :)

It is important that you deal enough elemental damage. If you do so, you weaken his super attack. Shown at 01:42 min

@@theUKFHusky I'm using 4 pieces of Rajang (normal Rajang and beta variant): helmet, chest, hip and legs. For my hands I'm using I think the name is celestial or something, it's blue and has stars around the hands and it gives you protection level 2 and 3 lv1 slots for decoration. Weakness exploit lv3, critical eye level 7, protection lv3, resentment lv4, fortify, Rajang's armor special ability (sharpness doesn't decrease after sharpening), sometimes I use grinder lv2 or medicine lv2 or elder seal boost

The less element you’r weapon has, the harded the fight gets. Saying that, you can definitely kill Alatreon with the Velkana LS. But you only make it harder for yourself ✌🏼

By doing enough elements damge you can lower the damge of the judgement. If you reach the threshold, Alatreon topples.

Yeah well, but you still wear the mantle of vitality. In my case I don't use capes, maybe Assassin's C. for running speed but nothing else... in your case and that of many people who abuse that cape, where is the challenge?🤔

I mean a "demonstrations" all well and good, but the point of the game is to make good builds, your gear is you "level and skills" in comparison to traditional rpgs. Doing this is essentially just trying to do it before you're the right level to make it a fair challenge. and hell you could do Alatreon with fucking HR gear if you're good enough with LS. Can we not use this to promote making shit builds.
