This is where I stand: With Robert and just like him, I have a daughter. From birth, I have taught my daughter to be independent when she’s by herself, interdependent when she’s with someone, and helpful when the need arises. She is not to be trifled with and she can handle herself and has the tools and awards to prove it. I’m only here if she needs a reminder of who she was raised to be, but her life is her own. It’s my job to love, coach, teach, and train her to be all she can be. To know when to move forward regardless and know when to fall back. She can’t do what pleases daddy, she has to make her own decisions and I empower her and well as her mother to do so. Prayerfully, this woman has a strong resolve and support system to help her transition into a more secure, stable environment. And lastly, hopefully, there isn’t some foolish woman waiting in the wings to be the next flunky in his world.
