Furrer's work might sound a bit too dry for some, but I personally really enjoy the pared-down emotional density of some those intimate works!

I feel the same. I think Furrer's dryness adds some 'truth' to his work, some transparency that I personally perceive only in some composers in history. Who eventually all ended up among the greatests. Definitely trying to learn from this myself.
