Btw, that "I´m good" track is dope, i hope you are advancing in your life and in music bro! All i can say that meditation in 3 months took my music from poliphone Nokia melody to something that you can actually listen for a few seconds and not just skip, so for everyone that is reading this, meditate as long as you can, your emotions will be cleaner so will your music. Gl

Man, not many other people in hip-hop get that. Music is a language and meditation gives you something to say.

if i find that i can't do much more flipping to the sample for the hook, i'll filter the sample, layer the kicks, and take out the hihats. add a baseline.

I'm really curious as to how to make the chorus stand out from the rest. Like how to add sounds and definition to hook so that it slaps way harder than the rest of the song. Especially for a lyrically aggressive hook. Thanks
@tbone16745 жыл бұрын
That's exactly what I'm trying to figure out now
@Pcgamingfixes4 жыл бұрын
I’m think I’m trying to figure out the same thing. Sometimes when writing bars you do a syllable count change and I’m trying to figure out how to change up the beat ever so slightly to allow that change without sounding off beat. For example Rockin home alone (5) Playin on my phone (5) All I do is zone (5) Then I wippin and I’m dippin no homie I ain’t kidding (14) We the villains we make millions move homie we be killing (14) Like it’s all part of the same set of bars but it’s before the chorus but there’s a switch up in the middle.
@georgeadams58354 жыл бұрын
The easy way of doing this is just lowering the velocity/sound of the chords around it and adding a little bit of distortion. Another more complicated way that's only really used for jazz is playing the same chord at the same time but one octave lower, it's a lot more mellow but your brain picks it up.

I hate spending so much time creating good melodyes and bass and basically detailing everything for then just realizing... I can't connect the melodies, or better I don't know how I mean you can hear they sound good togheter? but the transition sounds forced and not smooth and well basically if I take 1 month doing a song 29 days is me doing transitions... Hopefully I will learn this video is for sure a good help!

Im stuck on when to find part on song where hook starts.. Ear trainin. With your breakdown of diff. Techniques used to start hook is helpin me so when i go back to write i can find hook faster

I wish you would have played this from the beginning. I think the intro is just as important as it transitions to the hook into the verse. Its commonly struggled with.

I have the maschine studio what is the verse and what is the hook what do I start with first the hook or the verse
@illmatic1official5606 жыл бұрын
Its easier to start with the full song hence the hook, as once that's done u can take off certain elements to make a verse pattern.

I hope you don't record vocals in that room... You got dope music. But if you record in there its going to add too much slapback and early reflections to your recordings that can't be taken out in the mix.
