As someone who follows arm-wrestling, I have to say, that challenger dude at 3:17 was genuinely strong in AW and I think he would have beaten Sollie if there was a ref and fair start (straight wrists and gloves off). Like Sollie is strong AF when it comes to lifting no doubt but AW is a completely different sport. Hopefully Joe does gets a collab with someone like Devon Larrat or Larry wheels and learns the fundamentals. All in all great vid as always joe :D

Yeah, I’m pretty sure he would’ve won in that terrible position if he hadn’t lost his hand. He was strong when he had some flexion, but lost his power when his wrist got bent back

There should be a referee next time, or someone who is knowledgeable in armwrestling, to make sure everyone has even starts, and to make sure no one gets hurt. The strong guy started in better positions than his opponents every match, part of the reason why he won every time.

Sollie is without question very strong but you could see that he was getting the jump on people by jumping the gun and he also already had his body half turned on the table as his starting position which again is an unfair advantage. Another factor is that you have to go through 2 people before your reach Sollie and so fatigue is also unequal in this dubious contest. Bring in a proper referee and also let people only pull one of the 3 choices for a much fairer contest.

Regular arm wrestler here, sollie is undeniably strong however he’s starting early, already has a cupped wrist and inside position. For a non arm wrestler who can’t top roll they don’t have a chance, even if they’re stronger.
