Beat Saber but with Nunchucks

Hello! Thanks for playing with my mod! The flail and nunchuck modes are more swinging a virtual ball/stick around using in-game physics. I made them after seeing some friends hit themselves with real tracks attached to chains. 🤣 Since they're virtual though it won't provide the real feel of swinging an object around but it's a lot safer because you can't accidentally hit yourself. You can also just play those two modes with regular controllers. If you actually have two trackers attached by a chain you could just use the regular Beat Saber mode and switch to trackers for the left/right hand as you sort have already done in the video! By the way, when you used flail mode you've inadvertently made a 3-segment nunchuk in each hand so that's pretty cool too! 😁👍

does your mod also change the maps to fit the sabers? i have a short pole grip that i am busting to try maul style but most maps are impossible to hit due to double blocks and what not

To get the most control over the nunchucks you have to grab as close to the chain as you can. Really fun video though

Interesting to see how relatively slow it's reporting position but to be fair the nunchuck is easily traveling at 30+ mph (48+ kph) which exceeds the punch speed of a professional boxer averaging 25 mph (40 kph) I'm wondering how it would track anti spin as commonly done in modern poi dancing to produce flower patterns.

It's just losing tracking a lot due to occlusion. 2 more base stations would help. If multiple trackers could track the same object, that would help too.

Just a heads up, if you do ever use the nunchucks again, hold them closer to the chain, it allows you to have more mobility in your wrists, and you can control them more easily, so you won’t accidentally smack yourself in the head.

Hey Naysy, how do you stream beat saber on twitch without getting a strike or any other trouble like that? I possibly want to be a beat saber streamer, since I play a lot of ranked so I believe it would be entertaining. I would like to target Twitch but KZbin is fine if I must compromise. As you could most likely tell, I play custom songs.

Ok...kidding aside. Look at LED light poi. It's the same type of motion, but I think the mechanics would be better... and you will have a cool new hobby! You already have thr basics down and once you master LED you can bump up to spinning fire. Yes. I said fire.

Is there such a thing as a sofware nunchuk... programming the physics for the swinging side wouldn't be the hardest of physics simulations... and would be much better than tracking a real swinging side.

Looks really fun!!! I read that Blade and Sorcery Kratos mod has a few similarities to the physics of this. You have to keep momentum up with the long chain blades. I used to do some workouts with wood nunchucks. Definitely better to stary with foam, though i corrected after clipping myself once.
