I am really impressed by Beat Saber players because my arms get sore when I'm playing simple arcade games in VR. How would I be able to play this without having the biggest muscle cramps in the history of muscle cramps?

Avoid using your whole arm to play, just your forearm works well at least for me. And take it slow and easy, even I've had several points where I had a lot of pain on my arms or wrists in the past and all I can say is to remember to take plenty of breaks and progress slowly yet consistently. If you play everyday you will see slow but steady improvements in your performance. Best of luck!
