Is it ok to install a basic high rear spoiler, but instead of putting it directly on the glass, put it right above the rear window onto the metal / roof part? Anything wrong if done like that?

Although not necessary, it does provide better adhesion.

Help.... I installed a roof spoiler to my mercedes, everything looked fine until the end.. The right side, as i was pulling off the final red plastic away from inside the spoiler it ripped and i just could not get it, cause the spoiler was stuck and to hard to pull back... So i got the red palstic inside the spoiler about 6 inches long.. Can i just leave it there? Or do i need to pull of the entire spoiler and re-do it? Its pretty stuck as it is right now though.

Is it safe to go through a car wash with that on? if it's just tape?

Mason Clark yeah, I put one on my Cadillac using double sided 3M tape and have gone through a carwash several times. Still sticking on to the window just fine. 👍

Dear iKnifeU123, Thank you for your inquiry. I suggest you use a tweezer to remove the red plastic adhesive backing. Leaving it alone will leave some unattached space between the window and the spoiler.

Then, you will need to purchase the double sided tape separately.

Ryan Fortune for this spoiler correct. For another spoiler, apply it on the contact area from the spoiler to the car's body.
