Kudos to Steven Vai for his unique but perfect interpretation of Robert Fripp's parts. i have been listening to KC since the late 1970s. Still love them.

It's amazing that Adrian can still hit the high notes on Frame By Frame. Vai is a total professional musician who has adapted well to playing Robert Fripp's parts. When I first heard about Beat I was wondering how he would sound playing outside of his normal style.

I was around when Aspic and Starless were new. Someone called out 'Melt Us' to start their Starless concert...and they did. These two albums had a brilliance that was crystalline... A great dynamic range and impact set against silence. They had Force and Ambience beyond simple Rock. Later I had a pleasant evening concert with Frippertronics. Then saw their THRAKATTAK concert; after which my buddy said "What Was That" in Disdain and I Knew Exactly What He Meant. He meant Everything; Everything has been absofknlutely Cranked to the MaXXX. Every clip I've heard from these guys and for KC after 3-Pair ...has lead me to dislike their execution and production. Brick-walled like them clumsy CD's of the LOUDNESS WARS... Everything screaming ALL THE TIME... How hard can we out-harsh you ? Welll; pretty fkn harsh is pretty fkn blunt... I hate going to the dentist when I really would enjoy a massage...

THRAK?
@andkar729 күн бұрын
Thrak isn't represented here. If you are speaking of the first song, it is Dig Me, on Three of a Perfect Pair. Thrak is an album released in 1995.

ashame you chopped up these songs and shortened them , especially sheltering sky which is definetly a highlight of the show, and shortening industy its a crime my friend, other than that nice footage thanks

@dsk333 it is not perfect by any means, but a taste of high caliber performance, for sure!

A simple “thank you” would suffice. This video is more than I could have hoped for of a concert I wasn’t able to attend.
