Just finished the game, this chapter is a mind-numbing experience and it took me well around 1 1/2 hours to finish this because I don't have stuns on my team. I absolutely hate that health regen after every battle, Green unit survivors kept healing them. Even fighting Baltro is easier than this.

Galerius in a nutshell: Here is a challenge that we, the game developers have done little to nothing to prepare you for. He'd going to instantly heal any damage you do to heal and there's nothing you can do to stop it. No doing all the side quests in the game will not help you in the slightest.

Similar strat. I used Rosalinde and her sister for the stuns in the backrow with Auth the mage guy using flame conferral and thunderous strike for backup stun. Front row i had Hilda for fire breath and Led for his shield bash stun and powerful call buffing the others. This all amounted to killing Galerious in one round, none of my characters died. Galerious was stunned the whole time while having lvl 5 burn killing him. Also on expert mode.

Funny enough Alain's Cavalry Slayer works really well for this fight, if you can use it four times while keeping Galerius stunned thats all his AP and PP gone.

I mean...my problem with this fucking boss is that I had not a single moment of difficulty in my entire 55 hours of gameplay and then all of a sudden I couldn't almost not even touch him. I actually lost to the time clock for fuck sakes. Everything else in my playthrough got smoked by my units and this beast didn't seem to give a fuck. My pride as a general was pretty hurt, now I gotta redo the whole fucking 2 hours battle with a unit designed JUST for his fight. Tell me about bullshit.

Did a full team of the dark marquis and they kept him stunned and on fire. It was very satisfying after the way he messed me up the first time I played the last level

I just meteor slashed him at the start of each round to get rid of his shield. Then gave my whole team affliction/poison immunity and put Travis in front to dodge all of his attacks. Then you can wail away on him and you will never die even if he brings you down to 1 HP with Fallen One

Personally, i found the coliseum L50 enemies than Galerius. Especially since i made up when i was L25-30. Galerius is just tanky. Theres no danger of losing. Hes just a giant punching bag. And at this point in the game, i was L40-45. Never had issues with galerius as i had elven archers, evade tanks and quick cure. The key simply is to get lots of hits in to whittle the shield. Board nukes dont work here. Pursuit strats, good 1 AP attacks while having lots of AP, etc works.

Didnt have a problem with that boss. Had a problem with the TRUE final boss that appeared afterwards . Making the game super easy on expert the whole time and then in a single battle map, make you face 4 minibosses, the final cheese boss and then even cheesier true boss which was basically like facing 5 bosses simultaneously, really rubbed me the wrong way. I was so pissed i ended up just surviving for hours at the final starting command post where unlimited enemies spawn at you . Same timer for all 3 stages . Absolutely ridiculous

Interesting. The fight in this video took me about an hour to beat while the Baltro fight and the final fight vs alain in the post game map were both one round fights for me I think. Shows that depending on your team comp a fight will either feel super hard or be a breeze

You didnt really miss anything, hes just not meant to go down in a single round of combat ideally. You are meant to engage him multiple times and be able to outdamage his healing, eventually he will get chipped down and die.

Galerius beat the crap out of me a couple of time, but i like that there is a lot of strategies that works on him. he is a good almost final boss

God I hate his health regen after every battle, Green unit allies kept healing the guy. His shield buff is stupid as well, I'm forced to strategize in the middle of the chapter to see what's work. Galerius' fight took me 1 and a half hours, Baltro only took 10 minutes. Overpowered bastard. Sucked the joy out of me man.

My team was Josef and Berengaria in front, chloe, Dinah(werefox), and Rosalinde in back. I was roughly your lvl when trying it with this team as it steamrolled everything no problem then BOOM, couldnt touch the boss. So what did I do, I lvled my units to 45 and battled him2 times with brute force killing him. Believe it or not, lvl's matter sometimes.

I wonder how many people did use rosalinde she seems to be a pretty good counter. Either her or a swordmaster. I think I will know how to beat the fight on true zenorian much easier when I get there

My team for expert which one shot him was Berengaria, Bruno, Amalia, Selvie, Fran. It does help that I think Berengaria is the best unit in the game, but honestly that unit started off as an "axes only" theme unit until I figured out more about how to use shamans and then I replaced Aubin with Morard and eventually Amalia.

I brute forced it lol. Used sword masters 9 hit ability to break his 6 hit shield he pops at the beginning then used my best dps team to deal damage, took 3 engagements. Lucky for me they were all equipped with affliction immunity gear which I suspected I would need before hand. All I did was switch out someone in my “first team” unit for sword master when i peeked at his abilities. Didn’t struggle at all and was kinda disappointed how easy it was though I am aware I went into the battle with the perfect to counter him so it might just be my experience.

Yeah, his dumb bubble is only for *hits* and not *attacks* so that's how you get rid of it quickly. I think I got rid of most by having a two-hit attack + followup slash/pursuit. Got rid of the bubble quickly with high initiative attacks and then just took him down with the slower, harder hitters. I also buffed people up with tons of extra AP, and had Gilbert buff attack, so I could get past doing 1 HP of damage, and I *did* need to engage two to three times, so having a healer in the group also helped as well, to remove the poison and keep people topped up after the black hole attack.

The best team I made only dealed 363 in damage hahaha, I put 2 healers units next to Alain to recover after battle and 1 viking to recover endurance points, this was 9 battles hahaha, the fast recover for Galerius is garbage.

I used two thieves to steal his AP and PP, then just whittled him down 350 hp at a time lol

I literally can’t figure this out. I tried this set up (same weapons and stats and units) my people are like 10 levels over the ones shown here, and i am only doing 50 damage to him. So frustrated, i have no idea what to do at this point.

My initiative is higher than is, but he still gets to put the shield up before i can stun him. I don’t understand how you’re getting to attack before he puts his shield up.. like idk what I’m missing here

his shield is a start of battle effect. you can only stun him before he does it with the elf

@techn0kn1ght she will always do it if it's on. Either she is not a high enough level to have the ability, the skill is not set up, you have a different start of combat effect going instead of hers, or her initiative is lower than his letting his go first.

Finished the game yesterday in expert. Felt like fighting some of the tougher FE final bosses we’re only a few teams could do shit vs the boss while everyone else is just watching or supporting. Had 2 teams that could outdamage his healing and did not considered using stuns before he put on the shield. Wished the rest of the game difficulty was closer to Galerius. But I’m glad he atleast puts out a good fight. While the true final boss felt more like a an epic cinematic finish.
