Beat the Lich King using only COMMONS and RARES (ALL classes)

Today I will show you how to defeat the Lich King with all 9 classes without legendaries, epics or wild cards. Using only common and rare cards this will be the ultimate guide on how to kill the Lich King cheaply, including all classes. Especially beating the LK with Warrior without epics or grim patrons was hard. Introducing 9 Budget decks to beat the Lich King with all classes, making you able to get Arthas as free to play.

A lot of people seem to have trouble with the warrior one. Here's an alternative cheap deck you can use: AAEBAQcEsALnEYawArrOAg0WkAORA9QE/ASOBZEG9gf/B7IIgq0C0q4CzM0CAA== It uses a grim patron, which is a wild card, but if you have it it should have a higher winrate. Basicly you NEED to play Grim patron on turn 5, than duplicate him a bunch and use the patrons you have created to kill the 2/6's. Next you want to play frothing berserkers and keep damaging all minions to push a lot of damage face. Hope this helps :)!

ZeroMana Alternatively, I have found that a C'thun deck can also be strong enough, and while he's a legendary you get him for free. I did include deadman's hand for extra C'thun and buff cards, but blood warriors can also work. Brawl works best for the second stage, but as I don't have that card, I can confirm that stalling that stage to build a C'thun (by sacrificing other minions into LK's weapon and armor if up against the one remaining soul) can work as well

I'm sorry for the stuttering. I will do my best to improve, hopefully it's not too disturbing! I'm not a native english speaker (like you can probably tell) Also some of you noticed I accidently put in preparation in the rogue deck. This is however ABSOLUTELY not needed because spells get deleted, I just clicked the cheapest spells without thinking. Also in the replay I played glyph in the mage one but this wasn't needed either, since he was at 2 hp anyways. Don't worry, the decks works very good without them :)

With murlocs you can beat him with like Shaman, Rogue, Mage, Priest, Paladin, Warlock and Hunter. Druid is pretty easy too, you can use the cheap jade deck. The one I'm having trouble with is Warrior, it depends a lot on luck and without a lot of good cards that you could use for an easy win it's just restarting over and over again until you get lucky enough to defeat him.

Quick tip for ALL classes: It's not a common or rare, but if you have Doomsayer and drop it on turn 6, it will ALWAYS work to clear frostmourne and take you to the end game. Very useful trick if you happen to own that card

And the best card for going through round 7 (the one with the weapon and 2/6 minions) is DOOMSAYER. If you play it in round 7 (just before the weapon comes), it won't be destroyed by Lich King and it will destroy all 2/6 minions at the beginning of your next turn.

done all 9 classes. thank you for the guide.. here is my feedback. 1-mage too hard i had to try (30 to 50 times) to get the right opener and than the nice draw 2-Paladin is hard ( the right draw is the key to win) ( i needed more than 10 trys) 3-hunter and warlock (easy) any tempo/zoo deck can work very well (for each class i needed 2 or 3 trys) 4-shaman like Paladin but a little easy, without good draw you will fail (6 to10 trys) 5-warrior is a mix if you dorp the bot and you play it at turn 3 in an empety board u will easy win (5 to7 trys) 6-druide very easy (first try) 7-priester i had my own deck wich is Reno deck (10 to15 trys)

WTF MAGE IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE! You need so much luck! Start with kabal adept and the secret + sorcerer's apprentice + taunt + mana wyrm. If you got it in the first and second round, then pray not to be obliterated, or blizzard, or be blocked by taunts, and if you have taunts there pray to buy 1 polymorph. I tried this literally 40 times, the closest I got was 8 of life. Hard fucking hard!

the thing I hate with Murloc is that it's a bit RNG heavy on opponent's hand. If opponents has board control AoE then Murloc will get murdeted and if opponent's hand suck them Murloc will just murder opponent. At least it's not as stupid as pirate warrior which the outcome is decided by turn 6-7 by 99% of the time but still...

If you have murlock warleader you can deal 60 damage before turn 7 even at 1HP from the beginning. I did it this way. No need to search for the kabal lackery + mana bind combo. Go Murlocs

Mugen Eight You need murloc package and cheap removal spells. You also need tidecaller into rockpool into warleader opening. He's dead before frostmourne. Old murk eye helps too. Control the board. Lich doesnt have direct damage before turn 7. Your 1 hp is as much as you need.

shaman deck is totally inconsistant if the lich doesnt coin turn 1 the tide caller just gets obliterated, and if that coin plays the freeze monster lich king will obliterated it anyways rendering it useless as an opener. And it seems your game didnt have a saronite chain gang which kills your entire strategy

Actually the deck is quite good. I tried about 6 shaman decks (in which i used plenty of epics and even a couple legendaries) and this was the one that actually worked.

If there's a point where he can trade without one of his minions dying, especially early game, he will. So if you play a weaker minion, your Tidecaller will survive, even if you don't have the early combo yet. It takes a bit of luck, but it gets the job done.

So I finally beat the Lich King with all 9 classes. This guide got me to that point, just be prepared to spend a good 8 or 9 hours of nonstop gaming to reach this point. A lot of restarting and mulligans. You have to get the perfect draw, and you have to hope there are certain cards the lich king won't play. Thank you Zero Mana for this guide though. I can't be spending all sorts of money buying packs and dusting duplicates and stuff so this is the next best thing :)

Its meant to be a challenge for experienced players. Its not supposed to be easy. f2p just do nothing but whine. Just buy a card pack every once in a while, its not that expensive.

It took me almost 30min of restarting the game, only playing perfect starting hands. the 5th pefect starting hand I was lucky enough to dont get hard counter.

30 min Lol, I restarted for an hour on the warrior one and still haven't beat it. I even got the Gastropod/alarmo bot/ ultrasaur combo but he played the 1c 2/3 that gives you a kft card. It gave me a 1 cost and the damn alarmobot gave me the 1 cost swap out. KMS

Turn 1 2-3 can be stopped with rockpool tidecaller. Also use adaptation on your tidecaller, if you're lucky you'll get windfury. If that isn't an option go for health, his minions are generally weak and it's more effective than divine shield

thanks , for the decks , i finally got arthas. but! i help myself out with molten giant+ sunfury protector combo for the mage one , and paladin i needed 1 murloc warleader otherwise its just a rng clownfiesta, paladin took the most affort, and to those who struggle with paladin or another deck , keep trying ! once lich king won't have a blizzard on turn 6 and don't coin his 2/3 on turn 1, you might win ^^
