Jacob You have to wait until turn 10 to play him. 4 mana 7/7 was considered cancer( btw now it does not see much play) because you could really play it on turn 4. Kun is mostly used for combos, after which you mostly win the game (or lose it), so the free 7/7 does not matter. People just saw twitchcancerchat spam 0 mana 7/7 and now they spam it all around the globe, while it is not even near the real cancer this meta has. Y'know, pirate warrior can beat you by turn 10, if you don't draw the combo pieces, jade decks beat you. About jade decks, Aya Blackpaw is the very least a 6 mana 5/3 + a 2/2 + a 3/3 divided into 3 minions, with Brann combo possibilities, + she makes your golems after her stronger. Never seen anyone complain about her.

Kinda funny, but completely inaccurate. The meta is so much better than it was before -- there are a multitude of new archetypes and no single deck dominating the meta. Perhaps the most powerful deck in the game right now, Renolock, is extremely skill-intensive. Jade decks aren't that amazing since they get rekt against aggro, and even control decks can counter them by playing OTK combos like Leeroy + PO + Faceless. And ferryman is not a "reverse powercreep". It's actually more flexible than brewmaster, since it essentially allows you to choose whether or not you want to return a minion to your hand when you play it. Unlike brewmaster, you can actually just drop ferryman for stats on a non-empty board if you want to. And I initially thought Shaku was just a "worse huckster" at first too, but what you're not taking into account is that you're guaranteed get to attack with Shaku. You always get to deal 2 damage to something with Shaku, whereas you don't always get to deal 2 damage with huckster.

Funny watching this now. Water rogue actually became a really high tier deck a while into the expansion and Shaku was a really good card in it. In fact some variants of the tier 1 deck even ran shadow sensei for synergy with silent knight, shaku and finja, in effect making it kinda like a stealth rogue deck.

Most of the jade druid cards are common with a few rares. Ideally you would want Fandral Brann and Aya in there as well but the deck can function without them.

The third meta deck is Reno, Brann and Kazakus together in the same control shell. And that's it - right now there are exactly 3 archetypes of viable decks in the game that all just so happen to be aggro, control and midrange/tempo. But there are no variations. The winningest decks are set in stone. That is a complete lack thereof of balance. It isn't the smartest decks that win in this meta; it's the strongest. The most broken, in this case. What combinations of cards win you the game in the most foolproof of ways possible? That is Hearthstone right now. The meta for Hearthstone reminds me most of the flavor text on Negate (apologies if this sounds more nerdy than anything): "Masters of the arcane savor a delicious irony. Their study of deep and complex arcana leads to such a simple end: the ability to say merely yes or no." Here's to hoping a developer will come along and give us all a better taste of what makes for a good meta in a turn-based game.

Honestly, the Jade mechanic is only busted against control because of Druid. I've fought Jade Shaman, Rogue and Warlock with a Theorycrafted Reno Mage still in beta form and found the win rate fair. But I been calling it from the moment the mechanic was announced that it be absolutely f-cking disgusting in Druid, a class that's built on being ahead of curve. This is not the kind of boring Control deck players wanted. I'm actually hoping aggro will become more prominent and kick JD to the deck where it belongs, otherwise this meta is going to be worse than any aggro cancer can make it. At least aggro is dumb but fast. This is just dumb and sluggish.

Yes, but don't take this video overly seriously. Renolock is a heavy control deck and possibly the best in the game. Dragon and Reno Priest are also great. The video is fucking hilarious, but don't just look at it and assume that's what is actually happening.

Miracle rogue and pirate rogue are actually being played in 2 tournaments after gadgetzan thusfar. The miracle rogue was actually spectacular to watch. Even jade rogue+ n'zoth was being played in the tournaments, but i don't know if it won games. However this video was so funny i had pain in the stumach from laughing:).

So you got 7 mana and 1 card in hand, a dark iron skulker on board and your opponent just flooded the board with 2 health minions after your last turn clear. Do you want Gadgetzan Ferryman or Youthful Brewmaster in your hand? strictly better? Don't make me laugh... it's only better if you don't want to bounce something, in which case you shouldn't be playing Gadgetzan Ferryman in the first place. Otherwise you are always restricted to playing something first before bouncing, you can never bounce something then replay it. The only way I can see you getting to legend is with an brainless aggrodeck.

It's better in some circumstances, worse in others. That extra health point helps a lot to control the board, but you need to play something first to get the bounce. It's not awful, but it isn't great either. The main role it plays would probably be redundancy, a deck that relies so heavily on the effect it wants the two extra ferrymen as well as other similar cards. Interestingly, this card is probably better than the pandas in arena because you don't need to bounce anything, which is often a downside.

Robin Toman as a golden rogue player I have to admit, blade flurry made malygos rogue too op. either you kill em with a 6 damage blade flurry plus sinisters or you clear there entire board plus deal 6 damage to their face. in my opinion it was too much. however, I don't really understand why they made it 4 mana since nerfing it to only minions destroyed most of the purpose of the card. making it 2 mana it might see some play in some deck lists but as it stands, 2 mana nerfed blade flurry would still be pretty bad. I feel you though man, no fun rogue deck that isnt pirate combo or Jade. my beloved oil rogue will never be seen again :(

+Clayton Foreman Considering all the other OP shit every class has, I feel like Rogue deserved it's little niche thing. I mean is it really more broken than Mana Wyrm shenanigans, Equality Consec, Highmane, Warlock Hero Power, 0 Mana 5-5 Taunts and broken Druid stuff? I don't think so. The only Reason why Rogue gets always shafted is cause Blizzard doen't like combos that require any amount of Brain cells and are actually viable. They killed somuch fun stuff for me with that Mentality and currently I have pseudo quitted the game. Have nowhere near as much fun as I had when I OTK'ed people with giant Flurry's or Worgen cheese.

+DookasX The reasy why Rogue is fairing so good right now is the broken one drop pirate and Patches. That allows Rogue to actually be a Tempo class for once. It's definetly better than befor, but I feel Tier 1 is too much, seeing how Rogue alwas has consistency problems, as well as very lopsided Matchups.

Ironic how I'm at a 75% win rate with my miracle rouge. I don't know about you guys but all rouge needed was that counterfeit coin and all of a sudden miracle shits all over anything that isn't pirate warrior. Not bud, but Jade Druid is still generally better. To have chance winning against Jade Druid, you need to have perfect hand like Swarmer and Unearthed Raptor.

The rogue will almost always win the earlygame and have the board and especially with jade they can almost ramp out big minnions too. 2 drop jade deathrattle into 3 drop raptor into 4 drop jade spirit alternatively removing stuff jade shurikan backstack combo's quickly outpaces the druid.

This right here. Ice Rager and Magma Rager was kinda stupid on Blizzards part, but it was not power creep. Because Magma Rager was so bad that even a better version of him, wasn't more powerfull then other comparable cards.
