hi! i have a RC5 and a RC500 which I enjoy as versatile units but find the drums too "stiff" on them. The BB seems great and your video is encouraging, but I don't understand everything happening: why are the BB's "in" and "out" going into the same box? Thank you and congratulations on this neat setup

Thank you or your kind comment. The box use switching jacks, it connects the RC-5 IN to BB IN and it goes out to BB mono when only one monitor Amp is used. When you want to use a separate amp for BB and RC-5 you just have to plug your amp to BB mono and RC-5 and it automatically disconnects BB IN and RC-5 IN. I hope this helps.

Do you ever get warbly sounds when looping? I am using a Roland Tr8s drum machine and a Boss Rc-500. Similar setup to yours, but my loops have a weird warbly sounds.

That’s weird. Did you disconnect everything check or replace the midi cable and reconnect it back?

@@GitaraSan2 yeah, tried multiple midi cables. Last thing I’m gonna try is use a Y midi cable and go from my external clock straight to the looper instead of going thru the drum machine

Thank you for watching. I built my own midi cable to make exact length I want I connected PS2 mini DIN cable and TRS mini audio plug . You may connect the Beat Buddy Midi adapter cable and Boss Midi/TRS cable but it’s too long for a mini pedalboard.

Boss midi/trs wont be able to connect directly to BeatBuddy because BB midi port use PS2 6 pin mini cable while Boss use standard 5 pin midi.

I have a boss 505 loop station I’m having an issue. I put down my loop on the first loop. But when I want to lay down more tracks the drums always want to record on all the other tracks. Is there some way to turn the drums sound off. If you know something please let me know. I emailed support for boss and singular sound hopefully I hear something otherwise it’s not worth having it hooked up.

@@Paulmccarthy6801 select a blank memory number and turn down the rhythm level to zero. You may use that memory as a template. When you want to save your loop save it on another memory number. @@GitaraSan2 yeah this is for the newer 505 I have the first version. I’m able to turn off the internal rhythm from the loop station. It’s the beat buddy I even turned the beat buddy volume off and it still plays the beat. It’s really weird.

@@GitaraSan2 hopefully one of these companies get back to me. Sometimes these guys take long or don’t get back at all. Truetone is great. My power supply for my pedals broke I reached out to technical support they said send it out to them and they’ll fix it for no charge.

The top is a signal input and output path. It sends the signal either to a single amplifier both BB and RC-5 blends together or two amplifiers BB and Rc-5 signal on separate amplifier. The footswitch on the left controls the RC-5. On the right controls BB pedal.

Thank you for watching. I am not familiar with sr-16. You must decide which will be your master and slave between 2 devices then connect the midi out of master device to midi in of slave device via midi cable. They must be on the same channel. Set clock in fir slave and clock out of master device. That’s all I can say I hope this helps.
