Beaters Day 2025 | Suffolk Shoot

The pinnacle high to end the season. A great celebration of all the hard work from everybody on the shoot. It's a special thanks on behalf of the estate.
The game keeper puts on a special day for us. We like to use this opportunity to get some first timers under some birds.
A busy day of a total of 168 - pheasant, partridge and wild fowl.

I'm not being rude in the slightest but there was zero gun safety there. Clearly an inexperienced gun and needed a bit of safety practice at a clay ground not in a driven day

I appreciate the concern and that it looks like that from the angel, but the camera is on top of my head. From that angel it may look unsafe, but I wouldn't have put anyone in danger. The second I saw my FIL forget himself, I corrected him. We all have to learn somewhere and I will be guiding him along the way.

For game (not wildfowl) I use 28G number 6 game bore black gold. For taller birds I use an RC Hyperfast 29G 5

Can’t shoot woodcock, partridge or wildfowl after the 31st Jan and they’ve shot all three so let’s for now assume it was either on or before the 31st January!!

I’m just going to presume he was shooting non toxic as he was randomly shooting at ducks and geese during the drive.!
