Thanks for this. The marimba sound is good. The vibraphone..not so much... The mallet heads sound really hard/harsh. Can we exchange mallets ?

Great jam, Doug! Does BeatHawk remember the presets if you re-open the AUM session - unlike in Cubasis where is now seems to default to a drumkit each time you reload a project containing BeatHawk as AU?

Yes, it does, that’s what’s happening here. But even if it forgot you can change the project from within the AUv3 version anyway, in fact you may have to do that anyway at first because AUM, Cubasis etc will have no way of knowing what project you want use because you can use multiple instances of BeatHawk. Open BeatHawk as an AUv3, then on the UI just above PATTERN there is an icon that says S and another icon next to it, tap that, that will take you to the project browser, load the project you want. Then save the Preset in AUM, have tried in Cubasis yet though.

Is there a reason for doing this in this manner vs making three tracks in one instance of Beathawk?

@Colin Powell It is indeed a pity indeed that you will have to manually adjust the settings if you use Beathawk as an AU within Cubasis. A little bit cumbersome. The fun of AU´s is that they should work as VST´ within a DAW.

I bought mallets. It says it has 1005 samples. I don’t get anything close to that number. Can you enlighten me. Is there a way to buy packs with a link from you?

Hi Perry, hope you are well my friend, right OK, the number of Samples has nothing to do with number of actual patches or sounds you get in the pack, it is the number of recordings they made of the instruments to make them sound very real, for instance, each separate note on say a Marimber will have been sampled multiple times for velocity etc, hope that helps

That’s what I guessed but 20 sounds seems a bit thin. But I guess it’s not a 5 minute job to make all the sounds needed to make that keyboard be so high quality sounding for each one. Beathawk is a winner so I keep complaints to a minimum. UVI deserves to make money. I prefer that they do so they can afford to keep their apps up,to date.

transferring sounds to and from sucks .... why can't they implement the files feature so it makes it easy to just drag an drop i can't move sounds from one folder to other folders in beathwark they seriously could learn from beatmaker 3 files structure features
