Hello! For anyone wondering about a pattern, I have thought about it and I think I'm going to use this as a starting point for a baby dinosaur pattern (wrinkles & rolls included), rather than release it as a crochantosaurus. Keep your eyes peeled for that video in future! :)

I’d love a pattern for his head, that I could even use with other bodies! (Not that they would be NEARLY as cool as the croissantBody! I just LOVE the legs, which I would like to snack on!)

I'm so fed up with AI clickbaits, especially on pinterest, then offering you a totally different pattern in poorer quality.
@charliechristie99166 ай бұрын
I thought of that while you were doing it, and my gut thought was it feels like it might validate AI crochet. Like everyone screaming its not real is undermined by one very clever and experienced pattern designer can, so therefore it was never fake. My gut response, though, as I said. I'd enjoy seeing trying and failing and commentary on that. This is absolutely adorable and totally worth it.

So much to say about this video, but here’s the highlights… A - I love it so much. Your ambition is admirable, and your creative and practical skills are off the chart! B - You’re a natural presenter, both thorough, humorous, and charismatic. C - It’s SO interesting to see how your mind works through the project. That’s very helpful, useful information. D - I literally cackled when you mentioned “calling about your car’s extended warranty” because I had no clue that was a worldwide scam. I always assumed they only target us “stupid” Americans. Sad reality, but hilarious reference. E - Your final piece is way better than the AI. He’s precious! Thank you for this most entertaining upload!

What an interesting concept and charming little fella! I was fascinated with your process on this, especially the painting. I know a lot of amigurumi folks will use makeup or paint or other pigment on their creations, and I'm always super nervous of doing that. also chiming in here to say I'm a big fan of the patron names over a blooper reel, I hope it's not too much extra work for you to edit, but it really does feel like a little extra treat if we stay all the way to the end of the video >:3

I always like seeing how you approach the problem. I probably would have done large triangles and rectangles and rolled them up like real croissants to get the layers on the body, tail, and limbs. Then add the little hands and feet. The head would be like yours.

Awesome effort! I crocheted an ai image once too, just to see if I could. Actually turned out good. As for eyes scratching- if you're using nail polish or resin based products, you can use a uv light to cure it harder. Cure times differ, so you'd need to look that up

for the eyes - you may need to give them a light sanding to help any top coat stick, but also you could just use fine sandpaper alone to bring down the shine a little. and ofc be sure to wear a mask and have good ventilation when sanding plastics! i haven't finished the video yet but he's looking SO cute - plus i feel like i learn so much watching your videos! your problem-solving techniques just blow my third eye wide open, lmao

Ive used watered-down acrylics multiple times to stain/dye acrylic yarn (watering it down reduces the plastic roughness of the dry acrylic). I have also used water colour for staining yarn, i have found that it goes a lot better when the piece is already wet when going in with water colour. It helps to blend out the pigment better. I have also tried chalk pastel which works a lot like water colour. All this because i like to test my patterns in white yarn and then when it turns out good i dont feel like remaking it so i just paint over it XD I have never tried fabric dye on yarn though, but that would be less useful if i wanna make my project multiple colours. Anyway, enjoy my knowledge of staining pieces cuz i am jsut a little goblin having fun with yarn and colours. Watered-down acrylics in a spray bottle also work wonders for covering large areas :)) do what you will with this information
@Fajman.personal3 ай бұрын
Hey! Tip for staining. This mifht seem like a waste of money, but using more expensive paints will be more worth for your buck, because its just a lot more pigment! Meaning you will have to use less paint, giving you more milage and also affecting the texture of your crochet less!
