The only legacy left is to beat everyone in your division or become double champ, both would be even bigger legacy... Conor is in his division and would bring him a ton of money, I don't see how anyone in that division wouldn't take a Conor fight... even if it's an easy match.

I think most people know fighting Conor just means a big bag of money. He hasn't been considered a top tier fighter for a bit now. His last win was over an old and slow Donald Cerrone. Everyone knows the only reason Dana and the UFC allow the title fights for Conor is to make more money. Conor will never win in the UFC IF he does decide to fight again.

We should just stop talking about Connor til he actually fights. He’s not even entertaining anymore, he just comes across cringy and is clearly focused more on the attention than actually doing anything. I just don’t get the support when he’s done such terrible things but because of the eyes he’s brought to ufc people ignore the other aspects. Oh please. Save the "fighter's record" legacy bullshit. In this world, legacy is built with money. If he really wants to fight McGregor, let him fight McGregor. Let him get that retirement payday. Then how he use that money is what will determine his legacy. Look at what Khabib is doing now with his legacy making money. A true legacy is something you left behind for the future generation that should be tangible. A fighter just leaving a "presumed" perfect record is just someone leaving a record of their deeds.
