Slight tip if you ever use the Starscourge Greatswords again, the jumping light attack actually does more damage than the heavy because it hits with both swords instead of just the right one. The heavy attack does more individual damage per hit but cumulatively the two hits of the light attack still hit harder. It also hits a wider area due to both swords swinging so you'll miss less.

Just a little tip for Morgott/Margit, all of the holy weapons that he summons are actual weapons in the game that have been altered to deal holy damage. His dagger is an erdsteel dagger, the sword is a carian knights sword, and the hammer is the giants stone crusher, so technically, those would be viable for after his fights in this run Edit: I forgot about his spear, which is the treespear

I've noticed recently that Godskin Apostle in the Godskin Duo fight was much more active than it should've been. I'm not sure if it was an AI change or what but it certainly wasn't like it used to be. I was constantly having fireballs thrown at me and it was rather annoying and really made me want to use sleep pots tbh.

@@CBeavr I've known about that since I first fought the godskin apostle in the Divine Tower of Caelid back when I started playing. There does seem to be, however, a change in the AI itself, being more hostile than normal. Before the Apostle used to just walk around and whenever you'd flask it'd throw a fireball but now, it's way more aggressive than it used to be. I'm not quite sure why but it could've been an undocumented change in 1.08.

@@okay2111 she uses waterfowl a minimum of once per phase after you do about half her health she’s going to want to do waterfowl if you bring poison darts gain distance from her at half hp then throw the poison darts it will bait her Into waterfowl and if you’re far enough away just run for the first to sets of slashes then dodge in towards her on the last one and wait out the final “pop” of waterfowl then punish her, repeat. I got Elden ring on Sunday and finished all the main not recycled bosses yesterday. That’s how I got her at lvl 120ish with a Dex build using morgotts sword

Fun fact about bloodboon, it can be really helpful against godskin noble, since he has a tendency to just kinda stand around sometimes, you can also exploit the fact that his legs can still take damage during the attack in the second phase where he extends his torso by casting bloodboon where he’s standing, which usually procs the bleed before he pulls his legs back in

Tip for big weapons vs DTS. Stick to shield side. Dodge through the jump attack and sprint around. The shield swings have far more lag. Back roll jump heavy/jump power stance attack will trivialize him. Works with any weapon really but with slower ones it's borderline required.

"This is just not how this fight works" That's because it *doesn't* work. Fromsoft has never had a good duo boss that actually works as intended. O&S is a buggy mess, and it's probably the best one they've done, which is a REALLY LOW BAR. And godskin duo wishes they were even remotely close to a fraction as good as O&S. And considering how many duo fights elden ring has, you'd think they'd get it right in one of them. But most are just "we put two normal enemies in a room, have fun" which uh... well, it's still better than prowling magus and congregation. So there's that.

23:26 This happened to me with the black gargoyle in front of the Rold lift. Except he never got unstuck. I waited five minutes for him to move, and then even killed him, hitting him multiple times, from him being at half health, all while he was still frozen solid. Game still got some bugs to sort out in even the pve apparently XD Has something most likely to do with a riposte and then hitting them at the right frame or something, as the gargoyle freeze aforementioned also happened with a riposte.

It would be cool if you included any armor sets the bosses wear (within reason, of course) and if you simulated the bosses' resistances with talismans. Like, Lichdragon Fortissax is 80% holy and lightning resistant, so you could wear Boltdrake and Haligdrake talismans +2. For a boss that has slightly lower but still strong resistances, you could wear a +1, and a boss with slightly higher resistances than usual, just wear +0. Possibly, for bosses that are too big for armor or just don't have it (like dragons, Abductor Virgins, Astel, etc.) you can adjust your armor to get as close to damage absorption values as possible, just for the extra challenge.

When he was fighting the Duo and the Apostle kept layering his attacks, that seems a lot more fun than the way the fight is supposed to go. Ornstein and Smough work so well because they synergize well with each other. It doesn't feel like 2 random bosses put in the same room together. They work together flanking you and forcing you into a position where the can easily overwhelm you and that's a situation that forces you to approach it from a different angle. You can't just bum rush one so you can focus down the other. The Godskin Duo is a boring fight because even though they look like they should have the same synergy, they don't. It would be so much more fun if they actually protected each other with one keeping the player suppressed while the other winded up a big attack instead of them just waiting patiently for their turn to die.

The problem is that with DS1, Ornstein was fast and Smough was slow, meaning one was always in the front and one was in the back to cover all bases. The Godskin duo are both pretty quick attackers and have ranged options, so they're not synergistic at all.

An idea. Can you beat Elden Ring only following the grace. That means going directly to castle to academy to capital to fire giant to farum azula to ascend capital only leaving the path of it would prevent progress (such as getting the academy key). Round table hold is allowed. I think the bosses you need to do would be Margit, Godrick, Red Wolf, Queen Woman, Magma Wyrm, Dragon Knight, Godfrey, Fire Giant, God Skin Duo, Malekith, All-Seeing, Godfrey, Radabeast. Stuff you can pick up along the way is anything that won't bring you into a different zone or dungeon. You can explore Legacy Dungeons you visit and go to the roundtable hold.
