I’ve used VotI before, but when you see it used from the outside you really get to see and appreciate how many I frames there actually are. The fact you could I frame through dts lightning slam shows just how much it gives you

The best thing about this AoW that I adore is that you can stare waterfowl in the face point blank and right as she’s coming to swing, cast. The I frames last long enough to dodge all but that last slash of the first flurry, then you have ample time to dodge roll out of the next two. (Too bad you can’t roll in this challenge) much love man ❤

Love the cosplay you chose for this run. P.S. Shame you didn't use the Haligtree Crest Greatshield for Radagon/Elden Beast since it has really high Holy Damage Negation (almost 100) when upgraded and set on Sacred affinity.

To avoid the elevator guard for rentals you can use the shortcut door with all the stone head wizards left from the grace. Just open it rest at the grace, run past the enemies and then sneak behind the dude once you enter his little courtyard

I tried this thing out for the first time when starting my shield run recently. Pretty useful if you time it right. I prefer an offensive AoW like Shield Bash or Crash though

The shield AOWs are so fun, I wish it was more practical to be able to use multiple of them in combat instead of just one at a time. It'd be fun to figure out a build with two shields haha

Vow is a great AoW, it's my go-to way of dealing with Astel's bullshit teleporting grab or the 3rd hit of Radagon's hammer slam (the one that I can't intentionally dodge). It won't save you from everything, however it's a godsend when dealing with some things that are difficult to dodge or a way to bypass bullshit hitboxes (looking at you Astel and your teleporting grab). Plus it's SUPER satisfying to just hold your shield up like that when a boss is going for a big attack and being like "no, you can't hurt me", Radahn's Meteor attack is probably the most badass use of the skill imaginable.

@@Shmethan Golem scales better with Str and has through and through for Malenia.... Radahn has rain of arrows for the big boys like placiduseax. I use both tbh and have both at plus 10

I've been trying to beat Radagon only using Carian Retaliation ash of war. Very hard!

Do a Phalanx only run, so u can only use GlintBlade Phalanx (spell and ash) GreatBlade Phalanx and Carian Phalanx
