Feels like a perfect harmony of some real pro camera features and the best action camera features. The Raw definitely looks great, especially with the nd filters

Epic day, think I was a few minutes behind on that rope drop. Would you ever do a video just on how you get your footage to look so good? Your color grading is excellent.
@BoredProgression11 ай бұрын
Oh dang. I did a poll in the fall asking if there was interest in something like that but there wasn’t a lot of votes for it. However, you’re the second person commenting on this video asking for something like that. So maybe I’ll revisit it. Was thinking of doing a 3 part course on how I film, edit & post my content.

I gotta say. With those ND filters this camera may just be your best looking footage I’ve ever seen and that’s saying something because all of your footage always looks next level. I can’t wait to see what you do with it syncing to the drone! Also! The voice calling out the modes is sick! That would be so useful if it’s mounted where you can’t see it 🙌🏻 One of my favorite edits of the season and such a sick video you forget it’s a review🤣

from my perspective it's really difficult to tell the difference between cameras without a side by side. that's probably a testament towards your skill as an editor and the difference between cameras is really the time and effort you need to produce the quality audio and video we see and hear.

The footage looks great! The only downside is not being able to hide the pole.
@BoredProgression11 ай бұрын
Yes and no? You can remove the pole, (15:40) but the next generation of action cameras I think will be a lot better at it. Personally I don’t mind the pole and I think it adds to the feeling of speed and sense of depth. I know a lot of people disagree though.

@BoredProgression You didn't mention iso settings?

I leave ISO set to auto because lightning can change quite a bit in the middle of a run, going into shaded trees, back to direct sunlight, etc.,

I’ve read a lot that ND filters would mess up the stabilization but watching this video it doesn’t seem to do much. Did you notice any stabilization issues with the filters on?
@BoredProgression11 ай бұрын
Haven’t noticed any issues. Maybe when you freeze frame, the subject is blurry more times with them but it’s usually only a frame or 2.

Really nice footage. Just doesn’t match the invisible pole of the insta 360 when you have it extended filming yourself.
@BoredProgression11 ай бұрын
I agree when the stick is removed it’s not as clean but I think the overall footage is way better than anything insta360
@Ramsi237711 ай бұрын
Hey Dan, GoPro is dead! That’s right, I stated the obvious. The clarity of the footage at speed is hugely better than any of your GoPro footage. Dare I ask if you are hoping to compare an Insta360 X3 with the DJI Osmo soon?
@BoredProgression11 ай бұрын
I would wait till the GP vs DJI comparison video before making such a bold claim... I'm not a fan of insta360 but I wouldn't rule out a comparison video down the road.

I wonder if DJI will ever make a 360 camera. Shooting yourself with stick showing feels a little outdated now since 360 camera are getting very common.
@BoredProgression11 ай бұрын
Hot take, but I think 360 cameras are inferior and kind of a fad. This camera does have the ability to remove the pole though. I mention it at 15:40. It’s not perfect so I think the next generation action cameras will have it dialed better.
