Once I played a poker pro, we were in a hand heads up, I made a bet, he raised, I fold, the end.

Great advice. I played in a bigger tournament last year and I thought a player at my table looked familiar. After asking somebody at my table I found out he was a past Main Event final table participant. Previous to finding out I was heads up in a hand with him. In my mind he was just another villain. I hope that I would have played him in the same manor had I known....no fear.

I've been practicing poker online. Thought I could play with the big dogs. I went to Tunica, MS to play in the WSOP tournament. Lost everything. :( It totally sucked. How can I get better??

I play poker for almost 11 years and i really was the fish on the table! what i mean is i remember everyone was sitting on the table only to take my CASH , ok i lost many years of money in poker! but now it changed somehow because i learned how to play! well my suggestion here would be Avoid the better player in the tournament and dont risk your tournament life with them , but in cash game if you want to become better then you need to play with them and not avoid them also ofcourse learn from them and that is when you study how they play how they bluff and why and when and with who .. a very good player was with me at cash game and i knew what he thought about me! that i am weak and he can Re raise me every pot ! but what i did ? i shoved to him with nothing! and he folded , and in that day i did it 3x times and it worked...ofc with some good hands not trash..

Love your content but I must say my eyebrows raised at "dont 3 bet with those 10s, flat call". Seems like that's a self fulfilling prophecy that the good player can play good because you're playing bad.

10s arent a great 3bet in a full ring game. Maybe some situations like against a button open in the small blind after it folding around. But I'm not 3betting 10s in the cutoff against an UTG open. It's good enough to call and and helps your calling range to have some stronger holdings in there like 10s.

10's are less than Jacks and the debate on how to play Jacks rages on. 10's are middling.

Or pick the table with 3 pros if they picked that table for a huge action player that is fishy. Then don’t play the pros of you don’t have to

You play so terribly that they have no idea what is going on, and you hope to get lucky. Most of the time it won’t work, but as all good players know, poker is all about the long term, so eventually you’ll win once!
