I may have to cave to the pressure and play this deck. Edit: I remember the gates deck as insanely powerful for a 0-rare build. Gates Ablaze was actually banned in artisan because it made that deck so good.

Would love to see what an upgraded version of this deck would look like! It’s super fun and unique to play when everything comes together, but even in unranked play I keep getting crushed more times than not 😅 Thunder Junction brought some serious heat!

I assume you know this and just forgot, but channeling the skyturtle isn't going to draw out countermagic because it's an ability - counterspells don't work on channel abilities.

Been wanting to get into paper MTG. Keep coming across this deck. One day I’ll get it. I’ve only been playing for about a month. Maybe I should start with a mono red budget deck?

Mono Red is great and will be mopre consistent than this mate, but i wouldnt put you off this deck as it can get the wins. Mono Red though is top tier.

Really interesting deck, I'm interested in the level of competition you were demonstrating this against, is this a good deck to play in standard events to try to earn gems?

I think it will certainly get its share of wins. Aggro decks can get a fast start against it sometimes but when the game goes longer it takes control usually.
