At the start you could have eaten the rotten flesh from the shipwrecks and later on you could've killed skeletons to grow your potatos faster with bone meal Biome: Basalt Deltas

rotten flesh is a great idea! I did end up using my bones to grow the potatoes, but I didn't end up keeping it in the video. Thanks for the suggestions :)
