I was talking to someone while the video was playing, not really listening to it, and I looked at the screen and saw the three skulls sitting on the wood construction and screamed. Then the person I was talking to and I had a short argument about whether he would figure out about soulsand which I won a moment later when we both heard the Wither spawning.
@StuffandThings_13 күн бұрын
To be fair though, TNT is _obviously_ dangerous while the Wither has very little to hint at its danger. And the painting was inside his house. It's kind of an unfortunate side effect of how Mojang hinted at the ability to spawn a Wither.

And I believe that this let's play, is the best way to discover and play minecraft like a real adventure in an unknown world with its own rules. It goes back further to folklore that when the allies in WWII invented radar, the Germans were dumbfounded why they were shooting planes down so easily, and the allies leaked a lie - it was carrots - a diet of more carrots improved the vision of their anti aircraft gunners so much it was taking out the planes xD I can't remember if the story is correct or not, but that's part of how it gained such cultural relevance as a belief.
@theapexsurvivor9538Күн бұрын
@@WasatchWind what's even better is that technically Germany knew about radar, but High Command thought it was just a super cumbersome, impractical technology because before AH rose to power it was, and he had banned "wasting money on research that hasn't been pre-approved by The Party", so Germany had complete knowledge of the basic working principle, but couldn't understand how to make it smaller than a full blow radio tower that had worse lag than a 1.13 kitchen sink pack... This was an incredible thing to watch, I watched the first two streams but there was just so much content there was no way I’d be able to watch them all, so I’m so grateful to you for putting this all together in a digestible format, compressing that much content down into a form I was able to watch in just three sittings.

thank you SO SO MUCH for these supercuts, this was probably the most invested in a playthrough of a game I've ever been. you probably should take a well-deserved break now but I'd be very glad if somewhen in the future you made an edit of his Hardcore playthrough

These videos are something Mojang should treasure, so they can patch the gaps in the game where prior knowledge really is needed

I know he intuits information through trial and error/observation. Him figuring out how the Wither is summoned by paying attention to the painting on his wall is something so perfect you’d think it staged

Watching this as I was playing minecraft myself. I got "Total Beelocation" The EXACT instant he read the achievement in the advancements tab. What are the odds lol!

I'm flabbergasted at how much i enjoyed watching this adventure, sure some decisions here ans there could've been better, but the good things and natural discoveries overshadowed it by FAR

It’s insane how someone can play this game and beat it without any outside help. But watching it all happen, it makes sense. Minecraft gives the most tiny and subtle hints that allow him to piece things together-one of the best examples being the wither painting, without which how on earth would anyone figure out to use soul sand, yet with it you still need your wits to piece it together. It’s perfect.

this series was so genuine to watch as someone who’s been playing since 2010. seeing him figure everything out on his own while i’ve always kept up with the patch notes to see what the new things are and how they work was so unique. truly grateful for this series. i thought it would end after the dragon fight but through dumb luck of him not surviving the end he kept going and kept discovering things about the game. the ups and downs of losing everything yet still pushing forward through sheer curiosity and perseverance gives me a new perspective on how i can play the game. i’ve lost so many worlds with my friends after we loose a lot of what we’ve made one way or another and i wish they could have continued in the way oliver did with this world. it was so satisfying seeing him slowly inch towards the right answer through completely out there guesses and assumptions that more often than not turned out to be right. it made me root for him to discover everything about the game on his own in his time playing it for this series. capping it all off with reading the whole poem before the credits brought tears to my eye as it talked about perseverance that couldn’t be any more true with this experience. as a long time minecraft player and someone who’s never seen a video from this channel before, thank you for this oliver

thank you for this, I watched all the vids in one go with such joy. I love this man bro, his pure excitement of figuring things out and not giving up. I myself started paying just a year ago and my friend walked me through it basically the whole time, but I still remember this feeling of falling in love with minecraft. I explored it thoroughly and seeing people experience it for the first time brings me so much joy and nostalgia. thank you again
