I actually like emboar... Not just because he was my gen V starter, but because he had the (at the time) unque distinction of being able to learn a move of every starters' primary types (Scald for water, grass knot for grass, and wild charge for electric), which I just really enjoyed.

I also did a radical red play through but the file was deleted. The team I remember I had was Swampert, Premarina, Umbreon, Blazeken, Septile and An Ash Pikachu. The mega alternated with the three hoenn starters (best trio of starters in my opinion)

Surprised you didn't also use the Meganium Triage combo. You should try a pikachu only run. with the caps you can get in celadon. It'll be near impossible, but fun none the less

the boy in viridian who asks what's up is actually a cheat code npc that gives you rare candies. In the game console in Red's room, if you click A and type in "Woyaopp" it activates the cheat and the youngster will then say "I guess you're in the know" and give you rare candies and pomeg berries (friendship berries) if you click on yes. Pretty convenient when you've played the game over 10 times (like me lol cuz i love RR) and just want to try various monotype challenges or randomized nuzlockes and stuff.

If you don’t want to die to death road lol, cycling road is a lot easier trust me, I’ve done nuzlockes monotype runs, you name it, and cycling road just saves me from a few deaths cause there’s only a few sand teams, and then pretty mid Megas, hope this helps for any future radical red content! 😁👍

Honestly my favorite starter is forever going to be torchic. Loved blaziken forever in my first ruby playthrough. Mudkips a VERY close 2nd. With squirtle being my 3rd as fire red I ran squirtle and was able to build an EPIC to me team with arcanine jolteon fearow (traded out to articuno) nidoking and if I remember right I snagged a dratini early on from casino.

You always want to wait to evolve Pikachu until around level 45, if you evolve it too early there is a lot of moves that your raichu will not learn and you won't be able to relearn them if your pokemon fid not have those moves before they evolved. In radical red and a couple others you have to be careful when you evolve your pokemon and pay attention to what moves they learn

There are 3 cheat codes that are very BALANCED. 1. The kid gives you rare candies and Pomeg Berries (Firendship evolution) 2. You get a pack of items that you can farm these 3. Dexnav show every pokemons

While these choices may not be favs But to me the Best Starters (half are any way others I just think are neat) Are: The Sprigatito Evo Line,The Scorbunny Evo Line,Primarina (and its previous evolution),The Tepig Evo line,The Fuecoco Evo line + Quxaly Evo line,All three Hisuian forms of Samoruott Decidueye and Typhlosion Slight edge to H-Sam Kinda neutral to the Starters of gen 1 And equally like the Starters Of Gen 3,4,6 (although I slightly lean towards Greninja),2 and equally like the the other 2 starters of alola+ Galar and their evos
