firstly, hugely enjoying this challenge!! binged EVERYTHING. the whole shebang. can barely wait to see how the end turns out! secondly, while I understand your point about temperature systems, the us is the ONLY country that uses fahrenheit. I really feel like switching to celsius is like. the mature choice at this point. the rest of the world doesn't deserve to suffer because of y'all's stubbornness :/ but tbh that's more of an issue with the us government than with its people (like 90% of my problems with the us lmao). also I can forgive this transgression in light of being stoked to find people from the us who do, in fact, also like the nice numbers :) /lh (btw now I'm curious as to your thoughts on how in the hell a MM/DD/YYYY date system makes sense as opposed to DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY/MM/DD (or, programmers' favourite and how I've been naming file versions for years, YYYY-MM-DD))

your F and C commentary is fascinating. I'm from the colonies and we're right into metric. it's fascinating cos on one hand, saying that you're sold on metric yet will never move from F to C is lol because it feels like the wisdom of the metric system comes from its ease of use, being divisible by 10. But clearly there's so much "feel" or comfort, or just what you were raised with, so if you're sticking with fahrenheit why not stick with the rest? But what's bizarre where I'm from is, my Gen (mill) were raised in metric so it feels right and makes sense to use it even regardless is the ease of use but when it comes to calories and kilojoules the general public still haven't changed to saying kilojoules, even though maccas uses kilojoules ratings in their food. Anyway, fascinating.
