Beating the First Arthur Battle | Pokémon Empire

This was the absolute hardest "impossible" Pokémon fight I have ever beaten. To say everything is stacked against you would be a fat understatement.
Notes, if you are somehow stubborn or stupid enough to actually do this:
- Your Floatzel needs to be from Episode 3. In Episode 4, the version in this video, Floatzel was nerfed to no longer learn Depth Charge. This is the only move it has which can revenge KO Magearna from the HP range Endeavor leaves it at alongside its passive recovery.
- You need everything in my party, if it wasn't obvious enough. Endeavor is an annoying move to chain breed on Aron but is imperative to success. Every turn must go perfectly. If you lose any members early, forfeit the run and reset the game. A lot of the challenge is how long it takes to even retry.
*From further analysis, the Depth Charge Floatzel is likely replacable with a Sturdy Huntail, which also learns Depth Charge and does not need to outspeed Magearna due to Sturdy.
- Berry Juice must be stolen from a wild Shuckle or taken from a caught one. You can catch them in the Telurite Mines and its sub-sections. Polaris Shells and Polaris Salt can be exchanged for Shell Bells in (you guessed it) Polaris. Be very meticulous in collecting these items as they are expensive to create. I cannot remember exactly where I got the Water Gem and Smooth Rock unfortunately.
- While Aron and Buizel are easy enough to obtain, Larvitar (and by extension Pupitar) come from a relatively long sidequest in Illyria. If you want more information please refer to this guide: docs.google.co...

Turns out the fight is possible! Unfortunately it's not as simple as having Huntail with Depth Charge though... as even having max IVs/EVs, it won't kill the tin can. I might post the vid on my own channel assuming I can manage putting it through the video editors.

Prankster Nuzleaf is an option to beat him in Chapter 5, as Safety Goggles are now on two of his Pokemon, and now all but Vikavolt cannot be cursed due to a change in abilities. Through intense breeding, one can use their strengths against them, and with some natural wielding and priority along with an Endeavor Aron, it is still possible! Strength Swap, Guard Swap, Nature Power (field turns it into Ember, boosted by the field for 100 Power), Sucker Punch btw, Dark Gem boosting on one for Queelag. Not my strat, a friend of mine tested this!

Good job, the fight is extremely hard a lot harder then the Quinn fight which you are also supposed to lose. Are you going to do a video on the Quinn Knight Battle?

I know Huntail is available this episode and learns Depth Charge at 23 or so. The only thing is I'm not sure if it's fast enough to get past the speed barrier; but it does also have sturdy, so that's a thing. Maybe try it out to see if it's possible to do this 'legally'?

That definitely seems like it could work through use of Sturdy! Unfortunately I have no files from before this fight anymore, so I cannot test it myself, but I will add a disclaimer to the video description.

Huh... Would you be able to continue the story normally if you beaten Arthur here?

I haven't actually played past this point on this save file because I wanted to experience the game normally first, but from my understanding the story continues as it otherwise would minus the inclusion of Arthur's 2nd battle in the Field of Cinders. This also means you are able to battle Quinn with a level cap of 40 rather than 35, which makes that fight much easier.

Here I was thinking this battle was impossible without cheating and then you come out of left field and make it happen
