Beating The Louisian Mage Captain Fight In The Metaphor: ReFantazio Prologue Demo With Almost No MP

Really difficult boss on Hard. I got to him on the first day. I could kill all the skeletons with Brawler Synergies in one turn, but then that just meant the knight could start doing attack-all magic early. I kept wishing he wouldn't use darkness because I had a Healer with almost no MP. Really wish the demo would let you save after that fight before ending.

My party set up on this fight on hard, was having strohl with warrior, MC(Will), and hulkenberg as healers. Keep having strohl use the multi slash hit skill on human enemy, then use synthesis to cast mahama on all skeletons to kill em quickly, assuming you dont miss one.

Not sure if this makes a difference but i should also add that I was going for magic build on "will" so I prolly did more damage and killed the skeletons quicker that way.

I don't understand, in my game each of the enemies attacks like 3 times before giving me even a turn to do something, which reduces me to not even being able to heal myself because the second they do more damage to me than I was able to heal...

Interesting. What's your level? All I can think is maybe it's the party's agility--I think AGI might determine turn order. I didn't put in any points manually but everyone and I think the MC too sometimes gets AGI when leveling. It looks like I was level 12 during this fight.

@@kyrqslive Forget it, almost to the limit of my patience I tried giving Strohl the Brawler archetype and spamming Hulkenberg's spell so that they only attacked her and it worked, for some reason before it didn't work and they kept attacking my entire group, but then they only to her in my last attempt haha, and the Brawler with his punches knocked everyone down, I guess my brain had shut down from taking a beating in the first dungeon of the game, but on my last attempt I had a chance, although that does not explain why they went from attacking each enemy twice to behaving normally xD

I've already run through the demo twice. Still couldn't beat this guy though, lol-though my Healer Archetype is nearly rank ten. Congrats on the win!

Do you know if this fight is saved? Or we’ll have to do it again?

My guess is we'll have to do it again since the save point is outside the door and there's a warning to make one then. I will either way because I actually ended up replaying the demo a few days after this stream without distributing stat points, and then stopped with a save on Day 1, so I can make different decisions in the full version. Everything else was a lot easier on my second run, even without stats, so I'm hoping this will be too.
