Good to see you looking nice and chipper Dave and thank you as always for my shout out. I think you've got a bit of a mixed bag of genuine and counterfeit stuff . The POB and Imagine CDs look genuine and from the 2010 Signature box. I would guess some of those cassettes are needle drops/home recordings. I was never really a fan of cassettes - they always sounded awful and I hated how they changed the track listings to make the sides of equal length (Ish) , still I can see that they are interesting to collect. £30 bargain as long as you play them haha. Interesting video as always mate

Check and see if you're Let It Be Naked is a 1st pressing. It's missing a space between " recording is " on the rear of the jewel case. I'm sure Something New and IV in the slipcases are from the Tall box Capitol Albums Volume 1 set.😮

A great find.I got the Red Platinum CD someone who I did not know sent it to me in post. I did not even order it. I recently picked up Let It Be Naked with the dvd.

The Thomsun cassettes were bootlegs. I remember them being brought back from various oil rigs etc back in the 1980's. From memory the sound quality was usually fairly decent.

I STILL buy cassettes when I come across them,car boots usually,especially when they are Classic Rock-type recordings that you don't often find on cd or vinyl.However beware that tape does lose a lot of its sound quality over the years due to deterioration,losing its tension,etc so it can be a bit hit a miss but when you can pick them up for as little as 10p each then it's a risk we'll worth taking.

I was chatting away with a record seller at a carboot sale this morning and he said he's been selling quite a lot of his old cassettes during the morning to young folk....they cant get enough of them he was saying . He was all but sold out of what he brought to sell. Older people were more interested in the vinyl he was flogging,younger people were wanting cassettes....strange aint it 🤔🤔🤔

Looks like "Something New" and "Beatles VI" are from the U.S. Albums box set. Just checked with mine and they are slightly bigger than standard and have the same inner sleeves. I don't know if they were ever sold separately. By the way, I am American and "Beatles '65" is still one of my all-time favorite Beatles albums. A great folk-rock collection.

Wonderful box of Beatles related DVD, CD's and cassettes.Oh, I think the 2 oversized CD versions of the Beatles US/Capitol Records albums are official Japanese releases (they came with Obi's) as I have similar. You could buy them individually or as part of a box set. The box set is not the same as the box in the video. 2 of the John Lennon CD's are the 2010 remasters. Flowers In The Dirt was released in 1989. A lot of the cassettes appear to be bootlegs.

Dave the love album vinyl was selling for 10 pounds still shrink rapped up in the northeast. It was deagostini only, they have been snapped up now

The McCartney cassette will have come from Dubai (before it turned into monster it has become) and it is definitely a pirate. Good box of goodies. I first went Dubai in 1991 when I worked for the MOD and audited the first gulf War. In those days there were only three big hotels. Most of the other cassettes come from the far East and will not be worth much.

For £30 you got yourself an absolute bargain there my friend, and some very interesting stuff. Cassettes do seem to be making something of a comeback, there are some artists issuing their new albums on Vinyl, CD & Cassette, but whether or not this format remains viable we'll just have to wait and see. However I do have a Cassette of With The Beatles on the same Thomsun cassette label as your two tape All The Best McCartney comp, and that does not state country of origin either. Sweet Toronto is a good DVD, not one you'd play a lot but worth having in the collection. Doubt we'll ever see this get the remastering treatment for re release anytime soon. But I would love to see John & Yoko's 1971 Imagine movie get a re release on blu ray, don't think it's ever been issued on DVD. And as you say it is fantastic to see Beatley Tone get back to where he rightfully belongs, on here on You Tube and looking so well and making his fab gear videos. You take care my friend. It's always worth buying a random box of stuff for £30. Some decent stuff in there. The Something New and other US albums are genuine. They're replica covers of the original vinyl from the 60's and are all bigger than a normal CD jewel case. The Revolver and A Hard Day's Night are original CD's from the first release in 1987. All the CD's released for the first time have the Apple logo on them. I have the whole lot from 1987/88 when The Beatles were first released on CD and they all have the Apple logo. The cassettes look predominantly home made, but that doesn't necessarily mean poor quality. I'd be content with that bundle for £30.

A lot of those look like they were manufactured in the Middle East?I have a couple of Rock and old school metal cassettes of very similar design that were from that part of the World.Just a theory.

Thomson Original cassettes are pirated cassettes from Indonesia. Generally of excellent quality or so I read.

Correct, plus the middle east in places like UAE, Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia. Some on Maxell tapes and others on BASF.

Beatle Dave, those Beatle platinum CDs are probaby bootlegs, the apple logo from what I can tell don't look right.
