Okay but seeing her use a naginata, it made me realize that in all the post apocalypse media I've consumed over the years i almost never see survivors using spears? Spears are one of the oldest weapons in human history and a weapon that has existed in basically every culture throughout the world for the longest about of time, only falling out of fashion very recently in history. Their super easy to make, anyone with two hands, a stick, and even sharp rock can make one. They are easy to use and allow you keep your distance, which is exactly what you want in the hands of someone with little to no combat training against undead that can turn people with a bite.

I love how Beatrix is basically just a Western weeb living out a samurai fantasy in Japan in the apocalypse. Honestly, it makes me want to see an Asian cowboy enthusiast gunslinger in an American/Western zombie show. Someone in a full Texan Ranger outfit going to town on zombies with a a pair of Peacekeepers, Bowie Knives, and a Lasso with an in-depth knowledge of early Americana.

Refreshing to see someone use a naginata instead of a katana. Despite mass popular culture (and looking badass), a samurai's classical weapon of choice was the naginata and the yumi (the bow). Katanas were generally expensive and later a social status symbol and national icon. Naginatas on the other hand are a fancy spear.

Just when they we’re having already dealing with the zombies, a new enemy appears☹️☹️ Beatrix is NOT to be trusted, she’s a true villain 😠 For starters, she’s not even Japanese, she’s German. And I remember from movies that germans are known to be bad guys☹️ Second, her entrance interrupted Akira’s heroic fight against the zombies, and even shows a hostile and scary one for the gang🥶 Third, she might even assault the gang to steal their survival supplies to then have them for herself 😠 They just found a new foe that might be even more dangerous than any zombie they dealt with🥶🥶

So maybe she would do it not for malice but to survive in her own journey But please understand, I don’t suspect of her of being a villain anymore, just a survivor that only does whatever is necessary to survive

@@kaynhuros2050 Samurai barely fought with swords as it were. Naginata were seen women's weapons in the Edo period, well after they'd become obsolete on the battlefield. There's also no such thing as female samurai. There were women born into the samurai class, that is to say samurai families, and there were women who trained in martial arts, onna-bugeisha or who fought in defense of their husband's manors, onna-musha, but being part of the samurai class does not make one a samurai, and even if they performed many of the same roles, they wouldn't have been called "samurai".

After watching Zom 100, I like how they flipped it around and made the new protagonist survival capablity surpasse that of Lelouch and Kira (high iq strategists) simply by defying some physical laws of nature, and i can make another one piece reference here since all their superpowers a-like came with a byproduct, and just like every devilfruit users weakness to drowning in seawater;possession of the code geass and death note lead both MCs' lives to the very end a tragic demise -- with just this anime's fresh new concept of carrying a bucket list around in a zombie apocalypse. It's game over. But I know i'm probablybiased n only saying this bcs I find it more secure to be following in Akira's footsteps pitting against Zombies rather than superior intellectual beings.
