I think the Mertz was my favorite. I started playing “Nowhere” after hearing you play in a previous video and I love the reactions from people when I play it. Love the callback you did for it twice in the video! Definitely an audience favorite. Thanks for the videos

Hi Beatrix! I had never heard about "Natalia" before. I will start using it in my teaching already next year. Thanks a lot =) ! The other ones are great too, like Adagio of Mertz, which I have had many pupils playing for years. One particular favorite of mine is "Home" by Andrew York. It's more on the advanced level, but still so very beautiful sounding. For the more intermediate players, anything composed by Jonas Mollberg should be great. "Orion" as a starting example. His sheet/tab music are free on his website, so I can really recommend those.

I really like Tatiana Stachak. I have her second etudes book. The music is not difficult but has a special unique atmosphere. She is mainly a music teacher, it is a pity that she has not composed more works.
@beatrixguitarКүн бұрын
Right, but I really think she found a good spot for herself in writting super helpful material for less advanced people, and I especially love how her etudes are always very educational but sound absolutely lovely at the same time, so for my students it doesn't feel like a chore to learn them

All of the pieces stuck out to me, I particularly liked the Moustaki. What is the piece you put behind yourself talking there at the end of the video? It sounds so familiar, I cant place it though
@richardcroad385120 сағат бұрын
Lovely playing, Beatrix. And, thank you for the suggestions of pieces to play. But isn't the version you play of the Adagio piece (original in G-minor) by Albinoni/Giazotto in A-minor (not D-minor as you say)? The fingering seems to follow the arrangement by Allen Mathews.
@beatrixguitar20 сағат бұрын
Did I say d minor? Oh no, I’ll watch that part back soon, I say all sorts of stupid things
@ShaharAbutbul9 сағат бұрын
Great pieces, but the 2nd one is not by Albinoni. It was actually written by Remo Giazotto, a musicologist who based it on a purported Bass line by Albinoni that he discovered. It's a neo-baroque piece from the 20th century. Keep up the great work!

Yes, another common misattribution. Even on modern sheet music. They will sometimes put it as a footnote, however.
