That's true, sorry about that; I just realized one of them had a typo. Better sound quality, as in, being able to reproduce the given sounds accurately/more realistically with the same equipment. My experiences have coincided with most of the quantifiable measurements. The HD238 can reproduce the lower-frequencies much cleaner and more controlled than that of the Studio's and their midrange is not as recessed or quiet compared to that of the Studio's.
@miceblue425
@miceblue425 12 жыл бұрын
They're results of audio measurements, including the Beats. So yes, it does concern the Beats. Based on these measurements, they are not an opinion on sound quality as they perform much better than the Studios with the same equipment, coinciding with my personal experiences with the two headphones.

I think along the same way that Chery does, especially because prices (in retail stores) usually have $.95-99 tagged onto the whole dollar amount. Most people round up b/c it's essentially the same.

The compatible bose headphones have a better range but less of a bass receptor. Beats are great headphones and it honestly comes down to what type of person you are. The bose ones that are compatible to these are the noise silencer ones right? Correct me if i am wrong, but I have listen to both of them and own a pair of beats solo's and know that for me, an avid dubstep, hip-hop, rock, listener, beats were the better option. But bose are great to it just depends on the person really

All three links have no direct links to anything concerning beats, just about high quality audio equipment. And that's your opinion on sound quality.

Themusicofsmash, the difference of studio and pros are that pro have the option of rotating the earcup back so u can talk to friends,etc. Pros also how the option of plugging the cable in on either side, which is good when u and a friend r watching a movie on an ipad, he or she can plug them right in and watch with you. There are obviously differences in the design of both models. But I prefer for someone to buy pros over studios. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the review. Very thorough. My only question would be how is the noise cancelling? How well does it block out outside noise while you are listening to music? I have also read that the beats studios cancel outside noise better than the pros. Is that true? Thank you for your help.

You mention they are good for DJ use. I actually do use them for DJ atm, because its the only pair i have. They are ergonomically not so great for DJ. Too stiff to move them around your head too bulky to wear around your neck. The Bass is great but they cannot play loud enough until they start clipping. I am thinking of selling these and get Sennheiser HD-25 instead.

Consider the Beyerdynamic headphones if you can afford it. They are much more comfortable. I hate that they do not fold away and the wire leading to the driver is on the outside. If you can afford them both you do get a different sound for what ever mood you are in for the hours of listening to music with heavy bass or mixing and tracking. I am in a somewhat quite location which mean I gravitate more toward the open ear headphone that i own than the closed back.

yes there prices are extortionate but you pay for quality. I brought some from a family friend. they were offered for 120 but they didn't get many offers, so when I asked, she offered them to me for 25. now me being slightly naive brought them only to find out they were fake. some people have had them for 2 years and they still look the same from when they brought them. mine didn't last a month.

Hey Tone, I was wondering since the Pro's come with a Monster 3.5mm cable with a coil if you could buy a regular 3.5mm cable without the coil. I just wasn't sure because of the "locking" mechanism. Thanks! -Austin

So what's up with the buzz/static noise that you get from time to time. I got mine and after 2 days I started getting that problem. I returned them to the store and they gave me another new pair, and guess what. The same buzzing/ static noise came up again. It is really annoying, and it will happen randomly. I checked the connection of the cable and its fine. Two brand new pairs in a row with the same problem? I think there is a malfunction in the way Beats are made and fabricated.

If you're going to post a comment with a link, make a link that goes directly to the link, not the main page so that I have to search around. And what do you mean by better sound quality? Beats has its own way to listen to music and so does Sennheiser. These studies are is just a comparison. I have listen to many Sennheiser headphones growing up, trust me. Beats aren't better as Sennheiser isn't better than Beats, its just different.

you are correct to a point. You can test the accuracy of sound especially when dealing with distortion. Now the fact of whether you like a certain amount or type of distortion is completely subjective. I have also owned a lot of different headphones, and i can safely say your ears adjust to whatever sound you are listening to. In that perspective it is all subjective, but we can measure distortions and inaccuracies in frequencies.

I have had my Beats Pro for a year and four months. They are well burned in and mellowed out. These headphones are definitely not in the monitor speaker quality type of headphone. The Beyerdynamic T90 headphones; which in my opinion, hits it right and the open design allow them to breath so that you will not hear the unwanted reverb like in closed back headphones. It also has a lower frequency response for good bass response, mid range awesome, and highs are clear. the cost almost 300 more.

Hello! I'm a guy who listen to a lot of different music genres but my favorite genre is metal. A LOT of heavy shit so to speak. Though, I have heard that all of the beats headphones have A LOT of bass and my friends sais that the monster beats by dre are mostly for rap and r&b music. The thing is that I want a pair of god headphones so bad and the pros seems really god:) what are your suggestion for me?

@potatoheadhaoy
@potatoheadhaoy 12 жыл бұрын
Well actually... 1, The bass of the Beats is muddy and loud, which makes it quite overpowering. It's actually a lot like how the crossfade LP's lows sound. 2, The mids and highs are..."disappointing" compared to other headphones like the M50 which, if EQed, gives you a good lot of bass; It's the kind that doesn't mess with the highs and mids.

Maybe there is a reason they don't sell. That reason being that they are OPEN headphones that need an AMP. Kids buying headphones want easy to drive headphones that look nice and have a lot of bass. Beats meets all those criteria. In addition, the Beats Pros are not bad sounding at all. They are just overpriced by a decent amount, which for some will be made up for by the build quality, which is very good. If you don't believe me, look at the measurements at Innerfidelity.

I'd say there worth a good $250-$300 for sound quality and the other $100-$150 is for the high quality aluminium frame and high quality leather and other features these headphones offer. I do own these headphones and did make a video on them. I think they're great for all types of music but even better for heavy bass music. These headphones really shine bright if you have a nice sound card where you can tweak everything. It's kinda like buying a Mercedes, you get a nicer look and such.

Paying for the name? Don't know if you people haven't noticed, but you pay for the name of everything. The Sennheiser HD 800's cost around £1500 but the production value of those headphones probably only come up to about £300. So now when I see a pair of headphones that are being compared to the high end studio headphones, and only for £400?? I think you've got the best deal.

You said you wouldn't waste your "leisure" time on me but what are you doing now? I have Dr Dre beats and they sound amazing. The reason why some people don't detect the differences between regular headphones and beats is that if you play certain frequencies found commonly in metal music loud in the beginning, you lose that good quality. Some idiots aren't careful. If there are better headphones than beats, tell me one that is more widely acclaimed and it is maybe the best visual headphones.

I bought them and many other headphones. they are okay for listening to music. I would not consider them for studio use because after a long period of wearing them; they tend to pinch and hurt. also the deep bass really does not make these headphones a great use for tracking and mixing but they can be used for those applications. Just make sure that you have a EQ and a good amp to power them. Do not buy these for portable devices it really is not worth it for portable devices.
