I love Mrs. Shanté’s swag. Reads the room, stands in her confidence, and wise af. I enjoyed this convo.

One of my favorite episodes. Definitely a new found respect for Roxanne Shante. I wasn't necessarily a fan of hers when I was growing up and she was in her prime (though she was a spitter) but knowing her struggle and seeing how she came out on top is inspiring.

The warm nostalgic feeling this gave me, remembering the awe I felt as a young girl when I saw Roxanne Shante perform in the 80s… EVERYTHING!!!! 🥰🙏🏾🩷 Thanks Tiffany!

How did you lump Nicki Minaj with Cardi B and the rest of the new girls? Nicki been out before them, after Kim and Foxy, and dominated and STILL dominating!!!! I'm confused about the introduction. The same with Roxanne Shauntae. She was before everyone you spoke of and didn't really highlight her, and she's your guest. Wow!

Alot of Today's Hip Hop media are outsiders meaning casual listeners, not really from the culture, black boule(bougiè) so they wasn't as invested in the Details of True Hip Hop Culture. Alot of them think Female Rap started at Kim & Fox...that's OLD SCHOOL to them. They missed out on 10-20 years of Hip Hop and come from a very la la land type point of view.

This has been one of the worst interviewers I have seen in a while. I think that the interviewer needs to work on listening to understand versus listening to respond because it was so many points that Roxanne was making and dropping good gems and she was not even able to finish her in points that she was making because she was gonna cut off by the interviewer also the interviewer perspective and her thoughts on things. It was very clear that because Roxanne and Cleo was not agreeing with her. She kept on going back-and-forth and it was weird, but Cleo and Roxanne did a great phenomenal job and I would love to see them together again with a different interviewer.

Absolutely. You are Very Persceptive and NOT Wrong. I said this under someone else's comment. Hence the interviewer not connecting FULLY and being a bit dismissive bc her and her friends are super cool and supportive. That's not everyone's case. That doesn't mean they hate each other. That's just life. It would better help her to be more open and objective of others experiences.

Very disrespectful how you meshed Nicki Minaj with the rookies when she ran the game by herself and redefined female rap ALONE AND THEN THE REST CAME! How dare u disregard her legacy and impact ! U was goin in chronological order then u automatically messed it up when it came to Nicki 😅😅😅😂😂😂😂 yall be jokes
