I like to bring this game up when folks talk about how Ireland are now to be considered on par with the All Blacks. Beat us by 60-0, mate, then we might start taking your claims seriously.
@jonnybaynham1689 Жыл бұрын
Fair to say when Ireland beat you that year in a test series at home. Yeah maybe not historically a better team but no one's saying that, just that year they were better. Clearly you're an edge lord from your name though so you can keep your cute opinions
@godisbollocks Жыл бұрын
@jonnybaynham1689 Oh, I gladly concede that what has occurred in the 2 years since I wrote that comment has changed everything. Ireland are clearly the better side right now. And it doesn't take an edge lord to recognise that religion is a blight upon our species.
@cpcampbell3 Жыл бұрын
Two many liabilities in that Irish team, Fergus McFadden and Paddy Wallace had no place playing against the all blacks. There level was always November internationals against Fiji, Samoa, Canada etc. Also Earls eventually redeemed himself but he was terrible in an Irish jersey back then.

I saw him first time in 2011 in Italy during junior rwc. Amazing player. He played as fullback. In the final in Padova Anscombe (now welsh player!) at 10, against England with Farrell at 10!
@willk17564 жыл бұрын
Think Anscombe played in that game too. An international 10 for Wales. Not to mention Ford at 10 for England. Four future international 10s in the starting lineup. Unreal lineups from both teams in the U20s 2011 Final.
@lowenbraubl4 жыл бұрын
@@willk1756 that day i also saw: Retallick, Whitelock, Cane, Taylor, Perenara, Mako Vunipola, Launchbury, Daly ... an incredible level
@willk17564 жыл бұрын
@@lowenbraubl Exactly! Think the England backline was Robson, Ford, Farrell, Daly! All of whom are in the current England squad. Usually a couple of U20s from each year make the step up to the senior squad. 2011 was certainly a bumper year for both NZ and England.
